Unforgettable Munich: Third Reich Origins & Hitler Tour
Many of Munich's buildings carry the secrets of a dark past. Just six decades ago, Munich bore the official title, Hauptstadt der Bewegung, the Capital of the Nazi Movement. This was the city that the Allied Supreme Commander General Eisenhower called 'the cradle of the Nazi beast'. Find out why on this fascinating walking tour.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the Third Reich walking tour with our guide, Sam. Sam was very knowledgeable and is clearly an accomplished historian. He led our group of approximately 25 people across a number of the main sites in Munich stopping each time to give us interesting colour and context to better understand the locations and their significance. Sam spoke clearly and was able to take any questions which our group had for him. He was enthusiastic and has been giving this tour for the last three years and told us how much he enjoys living in this amazing city of Munich. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city and wishing to find out a bit more about it.

The transportation was nice but we didn’t feel that it gave us an adequate amount of time. If you’re anything beyond a surface level fan, it’d be nice to have at least 2 more hours on top of what this tour allows.

This was an excellent and very informative tour and took us to places in Munich that we otherwise would have probably missed. Nicola, our guide, was very patient and answered any questions that we had and struck the right balance of stopping to explain the significance of the landmarks and the walks between these.

Nick was fantastic. You can tell how passionate he is about history and really illustrated what occurred on the very ground we were standing. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Munich.

Be prepared to walk! The guide was very informative. Wishing we would have had a brief outline of the tour and a sentence or two about each stop so that we could review at home. It was too much to absorbe and remember in such a short period of time.

Jake delivered an outstanding experience for us. From start to finish- it was timely, easy walkable, full of pertinent information, and he provided some quirks to ease the heaviness of the day

Daniel was very informative plus enthusiastic with his presentation. We covered tons of important information about the rise of Hitler. Very scary learning how he came to power and how he treated people. Similar to today in America !!!!😬

The tour was fine, not great. I feel like the guide’s best qualification to be a tour guide was being a native speaker of English. It would have been nice to have some deeper historical insight and explication rather than just a superficial treatment. The guide encouraged questions and when one participant asked him to clarify something he seemingly misidentified (and out of respect for the guide, this was brought up out of earshot of the group), he petulantly stomped away like a hurt child. It sort of cast doubt on the accuracy of his information at other stages of the walk. I felt like I needed a fact checker.

Achim was amazing and so informative. He was not only amazingly funny but also had so many historical references that were very easy to understand and relate to. We were unsure what to expect as to the German narrative of the time, but the facts were presented in black and white. It was a very dark period, but history cannot be erased nor forgotten. I wish we could’ve walked (or sat at a beer hall) with Achim for hours more talking about WWII Germany. This tour is well worth the time and money. It was by far our favorite while in Munich. Do yourself a favor and lace up your tennis shoes for this one.

Guide was very knowledgable. You could tell he went way above a normal tour guide to inform tourists. Very good tour. A lot to take in but worth a few hours to take in the history of Munich.
