Pompeii & Amalfi: Exclusive Small-Group Odyssey from Rome

Excellent experience!! Aurelio was fabulous!! You can tell he enjoys what he does and takes great care of all his passengers. He recommended a great restaurant for lunch with gorgeous views that were breathtaking!! The tour was very well organized with bathroom breaks, eating, very clean van, small group. Very impressed!! Would highly recommend!!

Great experience, Aurelio was a great tour guide and so was our guide for Pompeii. The guides were knowledgeable and their recommendations were on point.

Pompeii was so interesting. Our tour guide hit the highlights in a huge city. Throughout the day our tour guide had interesting facts about the area and a great restaurant for lunch.

pompeii (the main event) was incredible. sorrento/amalfi coast was a bit of a tourist trap, albeit beautiful and not something i would recommend. our guide, aurelio, was helpful and patient.

Our Walks Tour to Pompeii and Amalfi was the highlight of our stay in Rome. The standout were our guides who joined us for the day. Andy, who accompanied us from Rome, was wonderful company who had great knowledge of the areas visited. Our guide for the ruins of Pompeii, Enzo, was outstanding! His knowledge of Pompeii’s history and enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable. Despite a big day, the tour is 100% worth it. I would highly recommend this experience to others. We would definitely book with Walks again.

The Pompeii guided tour was superb. The tour was conducted by a local guide who was formerly an archeologist. Her explanations were easy to understand, her english was very good and the audio headsets worked well. Caution: The tour description says it goes along the Amalfi coast. In our case it didn't, it stopped short, in Sorrento. Sorrento is a lovely place, though, just not Amalfi. Also, the bus had a lot to be desired - the air conditioning was inconsistent; being a sight seeing tour, visibility was unsatisfactory, especially for those in the rear seat (4 passengers of which I was one) who had no windows at all, and certain row windows were obscured somewhat by curtains in the pillars between windows.

Had an amazing time! Cosimo was our tour guide in Italy (Rome to Pompeii) and he did a fantastic job. Worth the time spent!

Pompeii was fantastic, we loved it. Cosmino our guide was amazing, he explained everything throughout the drive and trip and was very thorough. Ilaria, our archaeologist guide inside the ruins was very knowledgeable and had a personal touch. We loved learning from her. Sorrento was incredibly beautiful and a nice touch to the trip. We bought souvenirs and had a fantastic lunch in town. We were nervous about the long drive/trip. We made a stop along the way for coffee and bathroom breaks. The bus was a nice, clean, 20-seater bus with air conditioning. It was great. Definitely recommend.

Both guides were excellent. The guide on the bus was very helpful and didn’t get upset when my husband had some difficulty walking. The guide at Pompeii was particularly knowledgeable on the subject was personable and very professional. Overall it was a great experience.

Clear instructions and communication , before and during the trip. Informative talks throughout the journey. Safety conscious during walks away from the bus with extra photo op stops. The driver was cautious and we felt safe at all times while in bus. The bus was new and very clean. It had spaces for overhead bag storage and seat belts. Overall a very pleasant experience.
