Ephesus Time Travel: Unforgettable Ancient City Tour from Izmir

Ali was knowledgeable and very friendly. His English is excellent which allows his sense of humor to be appreciated. I highly recommend him as a guide for Ephesus

I greatly enjoyed this tour of Ephesus with the Virgin Mary House tour. Our guide, Alperen, was very knowledgeable and had a lot to share about the great historic site of Ephesus, the house of the virgin Mary, and Artemis temple. It was nice to have a glimpse of life in ancient times. And pace of the tour. The ceramic shop and demonstration was a nice stop. Cool glow in the dark ceramics for show. The meal provided was very tasty and nice selection of turkish food. And the final stop at a turkish Delight store was a very tasty treat. A little high in terms of price (given it catered to tourists, not surprising) but the quality was noticeably better than prepackaged or the regular street venders.

Today october 18th , me and my friend Laura had a wonderful tour in turkey to visit Efeso , the house of Mother Virgin Maria and the Artemide Temple . We came from Italy , we had this tour with the Gezenthi travel agency. They have been very polite and professional. Our day started with a very nice , positive and energetic smile of the toir guide Alperen, who came to pick us up to the hotel were we stayed . As soon as we met him and his driver , made us feel confortable like we were going to have a tour with friends . Alperen has been very good and he is very knowlegeable and thorough in telling us the history of Ephesus . It has been like we were there at that moment . Then he took us to see the house of the Virgin Mother Mary . That was very intense and emotional site . It is inside the nature where you can feel the peace and love . All the trhees and plants were there to protect that inconditional love of mother Mary . We saw her house , we prayed , we took some spring water and ask mother Mary to pray with us for our family. Then Alpen , always smiling and energetic , took us to see the last temple of Artemide and as like before he was very briliant telling us the history of Artemide . We came back to the hotel feeling like we made a journey in the past , felt the energy of that time and came back to our lives in the present . Thank you so much Alpen for this wonderful yourney back in the old history of our humanity .

This Ephesus Tour with Virgin Mary from Izmir all inclusive in general exceed our expectations. The tour guide was so knowledgable in Turkey, Greece and Roman history make the tour very enjoyable. The pace was right and he is always available for questions.

From the time that we booked, there was instant communication. Our guide, Alpe was amazing! Our bus driver was wonderful too! Alpe was so knowledgeable and friendly and answered all our questions in detail. This is by far the best tour we have done. Not only did we get to see everything promised, but it was done in a really professional and courteous manner. We would highly recommend this tour as a must do for your visit to Izmir. Ask for Alpe- he's the best!! Worth every cent.

Our tour was excellent and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. She took the time to make a couple of extra stops that were very nice.

We enjoyed Alpy's informative narrative to go along with the great sites we were seeing. It made the marble structures come alive with how Ephysuans lived their lives.

Our tour guide Ceyla was good and very knowledgeable about the area. She picked us up on time and the vehicle was clean and comfortable. However, we felt that the Ephesus part of the tour was rushed and we spent more time at ceramic and carpet factory. The tour length was supposed to be up to 8-9 hours so we did have time to spend in Ephesus if we needed to. They need to specify that we will be visiting ceramic and carpet factory. That was not mentioned in the itinerary. Although it was very interesting to see, I would have preferred spending more time in Ephesus. The carpet factory process was interesting but many didn’t appreciate the sales pitch at the end and feeling pushed to buy something. I would recommend this tour only if the advertised itinerary was followed.

Alpi is a great guide, he is so nice and passionate about his job that even I got interested in history (and I am not a history person at all :D). I wish all the guides were like him! He is also very nice and attentive to detail, taking care of each tourist and their needs and requests. The tour is amazing, I can highly recommend it to anyone, you definitely won’t regret it!
