Great experience, great food and our host Minh was awesome. He showed us great really local stuff you won’t easily find yourself. He mixed knowledge, culture and humor into the tour. Great way to see and taste the city

Eat like a local with Max, the unofficial food master of Hanoi, sharing his personal favourite places to eat. Small group, easy going. Everything from roll your own fresh spring rolls to egg coffee and everything in between. Left so satisfied. Max shared his ultimate personal food map, and even gave us a world top ten cocktail bar to try out, which was 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 Thanks Max for introducing us to bun cha, my new favourite dish

I was solo but we had 6 in our group which made it more fun. Very knowledgeable guide, with excellent English skills and very enthusiastic to display his culture and food.

Peter was incredibly knowledgeable about not only food. But Vietnam’s History too! Every stop that we went to was delicious and showcased a wide variety of traditional Hanoi cuisine. He even provided a list of other places he recommends, broken into breakfast, lunch and dinner (we went to three on the list all were 10/10) and helped us avoid a few places that had turned into tourist traps. Just the coolest guy. Can’t recommend this tour enough especially as something to kickstart your visit to Hanoi

A lovely food tour with some really good places. Lucky, our local guide, knew everything about Vietnamese cuisine and culture. Can recommend it.

Great first night activity in Hanoi. The food was excellent with a nice combination of savory and sweet including food I was unfamiliar with. Most of the stops were small places that I wouldn’t been intimidated to try on my own. I wish I had more time in Hanoi to return to so many of them for a second time.

This was the highlight of our stay in Hanoi. Our guide Lucky was amazing, combining great charisma, and humor with lots of knowledge. Food was great and really thoughtfully selected - we kept wanting more, and every stop was a surprise. Also the group itself was fun, and relatively small - just 7 people which made it very comfortable.

I’ve done many food tours on my travels around the world, and after reading through all of the five star reviews for this one, I decided to go ahead and book it for my friend and I on our recent trip to Hanoi. I have to say that, in contrast to the other reviews for this experience, we were left disappointed by this tour. It’s not that the food we sampled, from a variety of this bustling cities best venues, wasn’t authentic, delicious and fresh, and the lovely Argentinian couple who joined us on the tour weren’t great, it’s that our guide was, frankly, incredibly unprofessional. He was opening various social media apps throughout the tour, including dating ones, which we couldn’t believe to be honest! I understand that everyone has bad days, and perhaps we were just unlucky with the guide we got, but to pay for an experience like this and then have the guide open dating platforms on his phone is simply shocking. He was a friendly guy, and did of course provide an interesting overview of the various dishes we tried, but any sense of detail was lacking and we ended up connecting more with the couple over our impressions of the food and drink. It honestly felt like the guide didn’t care, and it was a chore for him, which was such a shame when we were excited about truly immersing ourselves in Hanoi’s culinary delights. I appreciate that the other reviews here are exemplary, so I wouldn’t necessarily discourage anyone from booking this tour, but my friend and I wanted to be honest about our frustrating experience.
