This private tour was an all day affair (starting at 7 AM and returning to CDMX around 8 PM) that was full of rich culture visiting both Cholula and Puebla City. Our main guide, Ulises, was very accommodating and knowledgeable about each area we visited. He had many suggestions for other sites we should visit in our future travels, and provided information about the many other tours his company offers both within CDMX and in the surrounding areas. The archaeological site of the Cholula pyramid was closed (Monday and Tuesday), but our local guide, Lupita, still made our first stop in Cholula more than worthwhile. We learned about the history that has already been uncovered as well as ongoing archaeological exploration, heard fascinating legends of the indigenous cultures, and were captivated by stories covering the transition to Catholicism while visiting several cathedrals in the area. We then ventured to Puebla City where we started with a delicious traditional meal (you have to try the mole poblano). After lunch we visited a beautiful cathedral while Ulises provided a detailed background about the design and architecture. The tour concluded with a walk through shops and the arts district where we sampled locally made sweets and learned about Talavera pottery made by certified local artists. This tour is an excellent value for the time, experiences, and personal touches made possible by the excellent guides! I recommend bringing water, snacks, sunscreen, and a hat as it’s a long, adventure packed day. PS - I hesitated to try the chapulines (grasshoppers), but they are surprisingly delicious!

This tour was just perfect! It turned out to just be my friend and I with the amazing guide, Ulises. The whole day was thoughtfully planned out and executed. He even amused us with our request for ice cream after lunch. The only thing I would note is that it was longer than expected, which we aren't complaining about! It was the right amount of time, just if planning on booking, add in drive time to and from- it was definitely a full day. We would suggest it to anyone else looking to visit Puebla.

Very good explanation in the archaeological area of Cholula, our guide Armando knows very bn the history and transmits it with a lot of emotion. We thought we were going to enter the tunnels but they are still closed since pandemic The visit to Puebla very nice, it would be worth staying a night there

Quando visiti per la prima volta, come è stato per noi, due bellissime città ricche di storia e ad accompagnarti hai guide appassionate non puoi che vivere una esperienza indimenticabile e ricca di suggestioni e ricordi indelebili.

Ulises's transportation was perfect, and they quickly responded to any misunderstandings and fulfilled our requests. I'm convinced that Cholula should definitely be explored with a guide. I thought it was a tourist spot that didn't look very attractive, but thanks to the enthusiastic explanations from our local guide Alberto, we were able to understand the details of the giant pyramids. Puebla is a cute city as expected, and great for shopping.
