Cartagena's Soul: Private Half-Day City Tour for Cruisers

Truly a great company! We were on a Holland America cruise and chose this excursion. It was so easy! Excellent customer service before, during and after our tour. All communications made for an easy pickup and a wonderful day. The mini bus had awesome air conditioning. It’s sure was hot & humid! Driving through the walled city was so much more comfortable than walking the streets. Our tour guides were fluent in English and knew so much about each attraction. And, the best shops for coffee and chocolate 😊 If you are cruising this is a great alternative than the over-priced, crowded busses that the cruise lines offer.

Tour covers the best highlights of Cartagena. It is a moderate walk at times with the weather being humid & warm!.

Day trip on Carnival Venezia so we decided on the half day private tour. 100% highly recommend. They will alter the trip how you would like. Our tour guide, Willy Jr, was awesome. Very informative and knowledgeable. He asked what we wanted and did not make us do anything we weren't interested in. Felt very safe with him the whole time. He brought us to a local restaurant for lunch and the food was delicious. If I ever get back to Cartagena, I will be booking with Cesar and Peace Travel again.

My husband and I had a terrific half day tour of Cartagena with Cesar. He was very helpful and knowledgeable and went out of his way to be sensitive to our requests. He even made a dinner reservation for us at his favorite restaurant La Picua!

It was a great experience. Roosevelt was our tour guide and we also had a driver. if you saw the traffic you would know why we needed both. Roosevelt asked what we wanted most from this tour which was historical, scenic and how the people of Cartagena live . He took us everywhere and talked with pride about his country and explained his culture. It was a very personalized tour and so well worth it. We were able to go around traffic and go to places tour buses couldn't get to and Roosevelt knew everyone so we were able to be let through at historical sights, get discounts at stores and meet people he was acquainted with throughout the city. We thoroughly enjoyed our day on Cartagena with Roosevelt and would recommend to anybody to hire him for your tour

My wife and I asked Ceasar for an off the usual tourist track tour of Cartagena and Felipe delivered. In what was possible in half day, we experienced a bit of each of the various cultural stratas starting from the barrios on up, including visiting one of the schools that Shakira sponsors for underprivileged kids. We were guided through the labyrinth of the huge city market. We discussed more serious social issues having to do with the effects of civil strife. We talked with street artists. We were exposed to the many blends of music that Cartagena offers. All was done with grace, honesty, and some humour as well. Highly recommended.

We were in Cartagena, Columbia on a cruise. We wanted to see some of Columbia, but were not sure how to tackle the busy city on our own. We also didn’t want to be herded around like cattle on a big group tour and wanted some control on how much time we spent at places. This private half day city tour through Peace Travel Columbia was a great way to go. Our guide, Cesar, did his best to keep us away from the crowds, which we specifically asked for. He also allowed time for shopping, but since we didn’t want to shop, we kept moving. Had we been on a group tour we wouldn’t have had that option. He had us back to the ship in plenty of time. Cesar definitely has a love of his city and his family. For us, this private tour was the way to go.

Casear our guide was absolutely wonderful, so knowledgeable and proud of his Country, not only knowledgeable but friendly, we were a private party of 6 that fit comfortably in his very clean van and provided cold bottled water his van was waiting for us as we disembarked our cruise ship, we were very happy for his itinerary that he had mapped out for us, we arrived back in port with ample time. . I would highly recommend this tour in Cartagena!
