A very picturesque town. Unfortunately, neither the salt mines nor the funicular was operating (undergoing renovations). Because it was All Saints day the boats to rent on the lake were not available. Many of the stores and restaurants were closed. The tour operators did not tell us any of this in advance. The guide was ok but she did not add much to the trip (unlike several other tours we took).

Our tour guide, Max, was delightful and very knowledgeable. The town was like walking into a fairy tale. The only disappointing thing was that the salt mines were closed for renovation, but other than it was a wonderful experience!

Our tour guide, Peter, was extremely informative! He was a wealth of knowledge and kept our attention with facts and anecdotes. Hallstatt was stunning, as was the drive there and the alternative route back for more sightseeing. Hallstatt itself was very busy with tourists. The village has very narrow streets and can feel congested. It was still worth the visit to see the views, however, it might not have been as busy as high season. There were constant stops waiting for tourists to be done their photo sessions. Overall, we had a wonderful tour!

The tour was good, although there was not much to do in Hallstatt during October. There were a TON of other tour buses there, but not many places were open. Panorama did a great job, but Hallstatt was just a bit underwhelming.

This half day tour is well worth the cost. This is one of the most picturesque places I have ever been too!! The tour guide was very friendly and informative and the coach ride there was very comfortable. I would definitely book this again!

Try to take a window seat as there is plenty to see and photograph . Driver was very chatty and informative. It is quite a ling drive for the short visit to the town. I would advise not to also take an afternoon trip as well as the time on the bus is quite long. The sound of music tour also drives the first part of the road to Halstatt.

Beautiful setting and definitely recommended, especially during the not so busy months. The trip fare was basically the coach journey, plus the tour guide giving some basic facts on a very monotone voice, which was great if you were an insomniac! You might be better off (as a group) to hire a car, which would give you more flexibility. Lastly, neither TripAdvisor nor the tour operators told us the funicular was out of action until we got there.

On time and professional bus driver. Lots of great information/knowledge about Austria from our tour guide Connor. Tour gave us lots of time to explore on our own in Hallstatt. Beautiful place and a beautiful drive with autumn colors. Would definitely recommend this.
