We had amazing guides in Ado, Alessandro, and Emiliano! Busy day but didn’t feel rushed at all - they took care of everything to ensure we had an amazing experience. Would highly recommend for those looking to experience all of Cinque Terre

A perfect day spent in gorgeous Cinque Terre. This is a two hour bus trip from Florence but well worth it.. Our guide JoJo was amazing! She was knowledgeable, helpful and fun. We opted for the hike and were not disappointed . I highly recommend Walk About Tours and even more-so Jojo as she made the day feel very special and personal . We were a small group and traveling in shoulder season so not crowded or hot as it is know to be in summer months . This area is truly beautiful. Worth the bus trip from Florence !

Excellent day tour from Florence. Easy and clear meeting point. Our tour guides, Alessandro and Emma are very nice, knowledgeable and professional. Very organized tour. Very beautiful small cities along the coast. A lot of interesting history. Delectable local food and yes gelatos. Very enjoyable tour. Highly recommended!

There's a lot of walking, and fast moving to cover a lot, so you want to be physically capable to keep up.

Great way to have a guide who knows the area to take you through the 5 towns of Cinque Terre. It's a very long day with lots of walking. The hike option is not an easy hike but manageable. Our guide Joanne was fantastic and make sure the group was always safe and together.

Would totally recommend Walkabout Tours for a day trip to experience Cinque Terre. Our tour group was small and we were split into 2 groups (hiking and non-hiking) when we reached La Spezia. We then had to travel by regional train into Manarola, Corniglia, then to Vernazza, Monterosso and finally the famous town of Riomaggiore. Emma and Alessandro were our tour guides for the day and they were amazing with their knowledge and recommendations when we reached each town. They looked after us very well. It was a very long day but was a great experience to visit the 5 seaside towns in Cinque Terre. There is a lot of walking and hiking to get the best views. Unfortunately the boat ride was cancelled due to bad weather conditions but we were able to spend longer times in the towns. This is a must do!!!!

My daughter and I had the best day trip with Emma and Alessandro as our guides! They offered a perfectly paced day tour to all 5 villages with time to explore each on our own. They provided options for all interests and energy levels and we loved how they gave us a bit of history some and recommended spots for wine, gelato, etc. it’s a full day but well worth it. I would do another Walkabout tour for sure!

- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately.
- Suitable walking shoes are mandatory for those doing the hiking – no flip-flops. Suggestions: walking boots or sneakers, closed toe shoes with non-slip soles.
- If you want to swim during free time, please remember to bring your own towel and swimwear.
- On rare occasions the boat ride will stop operating due to bad weather or strong winds. It is beyond our control so no refunds or discounts will be issued.
- In case of unexpected closure of the paths for unforeseen events, alternative routes will be taken instead for those doing the hiking
- A large amount of walking is involved for those doing the hiking. You must be of average fitness and be able to keep up with the rest of the group.
- Due to uneven surfaces, we cannot accept anyone with walking difficulties, below average fitness, or young children.
- Minimum age is 8 years.
