This was a highlight of our trip! To get to see Pompeii with Sonia, was wonderful. She was so knowledgeable and really helped us understand what we were looking at and how things were at the time before the ash fell. Lunch was delicious, and the wines kept flowing! Horseback riding through vineyards was a unique experience. The guides stayed with us and the horses were so well behaved (well, Claire tried to snack on grape leaves every chance she got!) and we felt comfortable the entire time. The views were exquisite!!

Starting later in the morning (which was very much appreciated for ample train travel) we met outside the Pompeii ruins. Our guide was lovely, and I could not imagine visiting without a personal guide for full experience. Being able to ask questions and not having audio plug ins just wandering around was well worth the time and money! We were then transported to a local vineyard and fed a BEAUTIFUL and filling meal paired with 8 different types/flavors of wine. You are able to order bottles to be delivered back in the USA!!! We ate outside in the sun overlooking Mt. Vesuvias. After, we were then transported to a stable and started our horse adventure. Our travel group of 4 are experienced horse riders so this was an extremely rewarding and very pleasurable ride, however, the horses are EXTREMELY well handled and very used to all sorts of people so if you aren't experienced it still wouldn't be an issue. There were classes being taught at the stables of all different riding levels and it was very clear that safety and comfort was put as priority. The journey on horse was wonderful, extremely quaint and narrow paths with endless exposure to nature that we all enjoyed. Our group travelled in late September, it was warm, not rainy, and there were really no bugs around. We also had a gluten free AND lactose intolerant person and food alternatives were provided and delicious! The communication and coordination between all of the locations and transporters was impeccable. We never felt rushed, forgotten, or unsafe. I could not recommend this enough, ideally the first part of your journey to just throw you into the history and landscape of the area!

This package packed so many great experiences into one afternoon! It was helpful to visit Pompeii with a guide to hear a more detailed history of the city before and after the disaster. We wish that the tour had been a little longer because we felt like we saw such a small portion of the city. The farm to table lunch with wine tasting was AMAZING and felt very special! The setting was a picturesque tent in a vineyard, with delicious fresh food and locally produced wines. And the horse back ride was entertaining. The ride is on well worn paths through a vineyard and our horses, Brenda and Mary, were insistent about snacking on grapes during the ride.

Getting to the Pompei meeting site by car was difficult for me. I'd never been in the Naples area (really tough to drive in--seriously) and my GPS program kept me going in circles once I got within a few blocks of the restaurant. A representative from Taste The Experience called when I wasn't 10 minutes early, and she gave me some excellent and very patient guidance that got me to the tour just in time. I can't thank her enough. Pietre was our tour guide, and he did an excellent job of showing us relevant parts of Pompei, explaining what took place there, giving us some historical and archaeological background and answering a lot of questions. He was pleasant, and spoke clearly in English. The wine-tasting and lunch was every bit as good as it could have been. The food was delicious, and not too heavy and the wine was excellent, and there was plenty of it. Afterwards the horse ride exceeded my expectations. The staff was great--friendly, thoughtful and helpful. The horse I rode was well matched to my abilities and she was agreeable and energetic (unusual for a trail ride experience). Riding through the vineyards on the side of Vesuvius and within sight of the Mediterranean was unforgettable. And those of us with some riding experience even got to ride in an arena for a while afterwards. I can't recommend this tour/lunch/ride enough. Would do it again in a moment.

Fantastic experience! Manuela was a great Pompeii guide. We toured Pompeii first, followed by enjoying lunch and wine tasting at the vineyard on Mount Vesuvius (Anthony was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and their wine was some of the best I’ve had). We ended with the horseback riding tour through a separate vineyard and it was beautiful. Alessandra was our guide. One of the most unique Italian excursions. Being able to pack so many amazing things into one itinerary is an experience I’ll always remember!

POMPEII RUINS The tour was two hours long and hit all the highlights and major attractions. Pietro (Pierro?) was amazing and very knowledgeable. He allowed us to get through the site quickly by knowing where the hidden gems were. This works for us, but may not be for the true history buff, so I recommend booking a three day pass when you book your ticket and go back later in the afternoon, or the next day. VINEYARD LUNCH and WINE TASTING Claudia and Uri greeted our van when we arrived after the Pompeii tour. She explained the different grapes they have on site, then seated our small group to a table. There were 5 different wines and a meloncello that we tried, and they didn't skimp on the pours! We had individual charcuterie plates with cheeses, cured meats and the honey they make on site. There was also a pasta dish and dessert at the end. It was excellent! VESUVIUS HORSEBACK Sofia greeted us upon arrival and was very friendly and experienced. She went through the basics of riding after we were fitted with a riding helmet. We rode through a private vineyard within the Mt Vesuvius National Park, which had amazing views of Pompeii and the Mediterranean Sea due to the elevation we were at. The return up the slope provided great views of Mt Vesuvius. We would highly recommend this tour as an experience of what Pompeii has to offer!

The whole experience was incredible from start to finish. The team were very kind and knowledgeable and created a fantastic experience! We started with Pompei tour and Teresa was a fantastic private guide - she was funny and very easy to listen to and had a wealth of knowledge to share. Lunch was served at the vineyard itself with award winning wine - they had the ability to pack up and ship some bottles to us too. A lot of the food was created from ingredients grown in their gardens there. We had private drivers taking us to each part of the experience, and the final stop was at the stables for the trail ride. This was easily my favorite part because we were able to ride through vineyards and see incredible views of the coast and Vesuvius. We would 100% recommend this experience to those looking for a full day of Pompei fun! One recommendation I would make is if you’re able to book the travel to the site to be included with this experience, do it. We opted not to because we were coming from Sorrento and took the local train in and tried to schedule travel after the fact, which ended up being a terrible mistake because we were trying to get to Rome. Other parts of our group had booked the travel to be included and had a great experience, so save yourself the headache and let them take care of it for you!

Great day. Thoroughly worth it. Pick up was on time. Roberto was excellent, much fun had with the driver, good local knowledge. Winery was outstanding, fresh and the meloncello was a must. The meal divine. Plus they can ship! The horse riding was great gentle trail ride across Vesuvius and the vineyard. Alexia’s English was superb and she was very knowledgeable about the area and passionate about the horses.
