Our favourite day of our Western Australia holiday so far. 😊 A tour with 4 other visitors which was full of variety, interest and fun led by the personable and knowledgeable Shaun, whose passion for this beautiful region and its delicious wine shines through. We started off canoeing down the Margaret River, which gives this beautiful wine growing region its name. Nothing too strenuous or dangerous and a lot of fun! We even had the river to ourselves. We then grabbed a coffee by a beautiful beach side cafe overlooking Gnarabup’s sandy shoreline before heading off to a picturesque waterfall where we tasted three types of local honey and saw some amazing lizards! Then it was time for a delicious lunch and wine tasting at the boutique, award winning, Fraser Gallop winery. Don’t forget to ask for their special Ashes deal if you want to buy some of the wine! 😂 There was still time for an afternoon walk through the bush to Wilyabrup Cliff which had sweeping views of the wild Indian Ocean and we saw lots of interesting wildlife along the way. We ended the day at the Margaret River Brewhouse but that’s not part of the tour! 😂

We had a really wonderful time. Sean is a very relaxed, forthright and guest-conscious operator. He takes a personal interest in the comfort and enjoyment of each of his guests. We were blessed with exceptionally good weather, so poor time was almost sublime in the nature lovers'element of the agenda. Lovely winning and dining experience. Only disappointment was the sandstone if the 4x4 experience due to unforeseen natural outcomes of previous heavy rains. Highly recommend this your for the more personal and intimate touch.

Great day - relaxed and fun, canoeing on the Margaret River a highlight as was the honey tasting. And for sure the wine as well. Sean is an excellent guide - lots of local knowledge.

Amazing day! Lots packed in but nothing felt rushed ( or too long and boring either!) canoeing was definitely a highlight as was the short hike. Would definitely recommend this trip for anyone wanting to see more than wine in Margaret River.

Sean picked us up at 10 am with a bounce and enthusiasm which immediately told us that this was going to be great and fun. We started with a canoeing trip down the Margret River. Don't worry if you're thinking getting wet, sinking etc. we have a combined age of 130 plus years. Super fun super safe and amazing serenity and colours. Next a road trip into Margret River town , cute, a coffee and loads of local history. It's lunchtime and off to the fabulous Fraser Gallop winery. We had a private tour with amazing lunch with wine tasting and incredible access to the senior staff for the full history. Unmissable. Then, the finale. A coastal walk. Again don't fret. A total of 1k easy walking to the best views of the ocean ( and a whale). Exhilarating!! A quick walk back and you're back at your hotel. Fabulous 5 hours. Sean is a great guy, totally trustworthy and funny.

We did a bit of everything - experienced the nature of Margaret River as well as the wine and food of the region. Sensational day!! I could do it all again tomorrow.

This was a truly memorable experience - we were blessed with a beautiful day - but it’s not like that is rare in WA! The day began with a canoe trip on the Margaret River - the canoes are easy to handle and very stable. Sean (your host) gives you full instructions. Because there are only 6 people on this tour, it’s a very personal experience and you get to know Sean and your fellow travellers quite well during the day. The wine part of the tour is a behind the scenes view of ‘Fraser Gallop’ - a smaller estate, but very high quality. The lunch and wine tasting is very enjoyable, and provided a chance to ask questions and chat with your group. The tour ends with some spectacular viewpoints over the ocean. Throughout, Sean is friendly, amusing and informative - he has a passion for the area and you get an insight into the geology and its relevance to high quality winemaking that wouldn’t be that easy to find elsewhere. He is very safety conscious and ensures that people with different agility levels can participate fully. A brilliant day - and worth the money!

If you only do one thing in Margaret River, this is the tour for you. A great day, Sean was brilliant and no question was too challenging to deal with. A real varied day. A very easy river canoe trip. A peaceful experience & then the winery lunch & tasting was perfect. Sean tailored our day to the weather which was rather changeable on the day & nothing was too difficult to accommodate.

What a fabulous day around Margaret River. A small group of 6, expertly guided by Sean. It was like meeting up with an old friend (not that old!) who had moved to a new area and wanted to show us the best bits of his new home. This he did and he excelled in doing so. We started with a magical canoe on the Margaret River in a light shower ( but the speed we went, and with a brolly if it was too wet, meant the rain did not matter). Coffee stop, seeing a lovely waterfall, tasting local honey. The vine yard lunch in the barrel room and tasting 7 pretty premium wines was excellent. We finished with a walk to the coastal path, great views, lovely photos and he even managed to get a few whales to perform in the bay for us! A fabulous and knowledgeable host who made sure we had a great experience and he was not bothered by how long it took. It was all about having a great trip - Sean even took some lovely photos, which he sent, along with recommendations for things to do the following day. Thanks also to the other 4 people who made it an enjoyable day.
