My visit to Lisbon was my second and I was on the tour for a second time and I was delighted to see that Maria was again my guide! Our tour was wonderful and it was touching to hear of Maria talk in-depth of the red carnation revolution and of her family's role. Maria's love of Lisbon shows in her tours and I highly recommend that you plan to spend an afternoon with Maria on your Lisbon adventure.

Pedro our guide conducted a compelling tour around Lisbon’s old town, giving us an informed — and opinionated in a good way — view of both the history of Portugal, the Iberian peninsula and through trade the world as it relates to Lisbon, he also told us where to get some good food and drink along the way.

We walked through several neighborhoods. Used escalators at times due to rain. Liked hearing the history about rulers.

Our guide was excellent, knowledgeable, friendly, and full of great tips. We learned useful shortcuts to save some climbing, got fascinating historical background, and discovered why Alfama is the only ancient neighborhood that still stands today. Along the way, we tasted green wine, cod cakes, and the freshest “pão de deus” in a lovely local bakery. We also learned about ginjinha (the cherry liqueur), why citrus trees are planted in the Alfama streets, and the two most important dates in Portuguese history. A great tour to get oriented, understand the city’s basics, and enjoy some delicious local flavors!

Fabulous day to welcome the showers to Lisbon. This was a well paced tour, our guide Phillipe, was excellent. The snacks on the tour and sample of green wine were welcomed. Small group was advantageous and gave us time to get to know other travellers. Highly recommend.

One of THE best tours I’ve ever been on, and I’ve been on many walking/history/cultural tours. Our guide was friendly, kind, hilarious, extremely interesting, and highly knowledgeable. Such a fabulous guide. Just book it!
