I highly recommend doing the beam experience, especially at night. It's am additional charge, but the city is beautiful.

We visited Top of the Rock in December at 7pm. As it was Christmas time in NY, outside was chaos. The instructions on how to enter were not clear and so we asked staff outside where we needed to go. We were sent from one place to another through the crowds only to be told we were in the wrong place three times. It took over 30 minutes to get to the right spot. Close up view of the Rockefeller tree was good, we got some nice family pictures. Once we had got to the correct entrance, the experience was very good. Quite well run but confusing queuing systems! Views across New York at night were amazing. With patience you can get right up to the windows for an unrestricted view. It was cold as you’d expect, with it being night time, December and high up! Overall a good visit, once we were inside!

As excited we were to take my 3 grand-daughters up to the top. We purchased 6 tickets and our scheduled time was for 4:00. We arrived 10 minutes early. Line was already long. We waited some time outside to enter the building. After entering we were scrunched in with lots of other people. All with our heavy coats, gloves and hats. We waited and waited to get on the elevator. By the time we got to the top, it took 1 hour and 7 minutes. Yes, it was beautiful but then we looked and the line to go back down was very long as well….we were there maybe 10 minutes and saw how long the line was to leave so we just got back in line and even that took another 35 minutes to get back down. Needless to say we had some very cranky kids and moms! Definitely was not worthy the $422.44 that we paid to do it.

Great experience! We didn’t get to sit together on the beam which was the only bad point. Everything else was great and so quick!

Loved it! Great place to take pictures! I wonder if they would allow somebody to set up a table and have a nice dinner out here because that would be a great place to propose!

Rain or shine. Or snow. It’s was 10 degrees and limited visibility, the closed the upper most deck, likely due to wind. The beam experience is misleading, says a photo is included, however it’s $75 additional. The whole thing is awesome, but ticketing and add one add up. No refunds AT ALL due to weather so plan accordingly.

Amazing experience seeing the sun rising and Central Park covered in the snow. Can’t wait to come back and see everything in the summertime

We did this for sunset, booking for 3.15pm and allowed plenty of time to reach top for sunset. Views of Empire State Building and overlooking central park were great. No long queues would recommend here
