Unforgettable City: Hop-On, Cruise, Walk & Night Views!

This outfit's app is promising because it makes it so easy to buy a ticket....and things head downhill from there. We first caught the bus at an Ibis Hotel in Vienna. The app promises a bus schedule, but beyond 'every 20 minutes', there's no way to determine whether the next bus is in 1 minute or 19 minutes; you can ask one of the Ibis receptionists, but they have no real schedule. Our bus turned out to be closer to 19 minutes. Things went downhill from there. It's not clear where you catch a Blue Bus and where you catch a Red Bus. That's important because the Red Bus goes to the Schoenbrun Palace, which we didn't want. Too bad. We were going. No one seemed to be able to explain where to catch a Blue Bus. The bus wasn't heated, on a cold day in December. Everyone sitting downstairs was freezing, and complaining when a Big Bus manager got on; he agreed there was no heat....and exited the bus very quickly. The ear buds are one-size-fits-all, which means they don't fit lots of people. Even what you hear of the recorded tour is badly conceived--lots of terrible classical music and endless history while various sites you'd really like to know about pass by. There's more, but suffice it to say I was being generous giving this outfit 2 stars, especially given the high price.

This is a great tour to do with people who have mobility challenges. My 83 year old mother can’t walk long distances, so this was a great way for her to see the highlights of the city without having to get off the bus.

Expensive for the amount of time you spend stopping and starting at lights, not the greatest of routes and some of it closed due to roadworks

Good ride but hit the peak hours so a bit stuck in the trafflic. But the staff are friendly and give discounts on entrance fee

We have used hop on hop off buses many times across Europe. We really enjoyed the Vienna trip and it helped us visit some of the Christmas markets.

The perfect city ride with the most wonderful views and places. But we were so happy to meet the best bus assistant Rafiki. For real , this guy is very professional, polite and kind. Take your ride with him.

Confusing ticket process and it took repeated attempts to obtain a printed ticket. the recorded narration could be improved to more clearly identify the buildings being spoken about.

This hop on hop off offers 2 lines around the town. We bought the 48 hours and it gave us time to visit many points

We have been on many Big Bus tours in multiple cities. Big Bus Vienna met our expectations. The operators were friendly, the bus was clean and the ticketing and boarding processes were uncomplicated.
