Without question, this tour route is the most unique kayak tour in the area and offers guests with the greatest opportunity to spot bucket list wildlife while visiting the Everglades area. This tour launches from a permit only launch site within the 10,000 Islands Wildlife Refuge. This route requires proper planning and expert knowledge due to the fluctuating tides. No other company is capable or willing to take the time needed for this type of planning. Guests will start their paddle through the salt marsh, a popular feeding zone for numerous long-legged wading birds and river otters. 30 minutes in guests will notice a change in habitat, transitioning into Mangroves, indicating a change in salinity and elevation. This is where you will enter one of the best Mangrove Tunnels in the county. After numerous mangrove tunnels, creeks and ponds and hopefully tons of wildlife guests will then empty out into a manatee safe zone the Faka-union Canal. Year Round expert kayak guides included!

The guides Adam and Jimmy very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. They made everyone feel safe and were personable. Kayaking through the mangroves is a wonderful way to explore the vegetation and wildlife. Unfortunately we did not see any manatee (December is not the best time to go - which I did not know so will be back). Wonderful experience overall - would have been 6 stars if we saw manatee :)

There were six of us, including our guide Adam. We enjoyed kayaking through the mangroves. While we missed seeing the manatees, we saw multiple types of fish, numerous jumped completely out of the water. Each person in our group saw at least one bull shark and we saw and heard more birds than I ever have in a three hour span. What a great time!

Awsome experience all round! I booked the tour and was lucky enough to have a one to one trip with Adam. We navigated our way through mangrove tunnels, narrow waterways and out onto the river. We saw masses of wildlife, loads of Herons of all sizes, Storks, Pelicans, Kingfishers, plus Tarpon, Mullet and some quite large baby bull sharks. The mangroves are really peaceful and you really feel at one with nature. Adam was great compony and knows his stuff, and Kyle the owner was great too. Highly recommend this trip!

These guys were awesome! So glad we did a kayak tour instead of boat tour. Kyle and Adam were great guides—super knowledgeable on the wildlife and surrounding ecosystem. We felt safe the entire time, and bonus points for being personable and entertaining! Their passion for the outdoors really shows! As two gals in their 30’s from Colorado, we did not find this kayak trip to be physically demanding but it did require some maneuvering through the groves. We went for the morning tour. Length of trip was perfect allowing for more activities the second half of the day while still getting an immersive experience. I loved having two guides on two boats with a small group—one of them was in the front and another in the back. In addition to two guides, we had a total of 4 guest boats (7 guests), which made it intimate and easy to hear everyone. Early November we saw: 5-10 species of local birds, big fish, blue crabs, 2 alligators (from afar), and a few manatee noses in the boat canal. Polarized sunnies are a must! Feet got wet but that’s about it. All in all, I’d say it was worth the price! I’d say it’s family friendly for most ages. Thanks guys! We hope to see you on lake Dillion in Colorado for our next excursion!

Kyle was a great guide!! Highly recommend!. Best part was through the mangroves narrow canopies. The water was very clear in most parts and we were able to see a lot of wildlife.

Cameron was very knowledgeable and fun. He guided us through the mangroves and shared lots of fun facts. It was a small group and that made it extra nice.

Be prepared for sun and fun! Be prepared to kayak -- it's not hard but it's best to know who wants to steer from the back of a tandem. Wildlife is amazing: birds, mangroves, palms, and MANATEE!!

Kyle was our guide We meet him with a another family and got a really helpful brief before we set of. My wife and i kayak back home, but mangroves and manatees are not too be seen anywhere in the UK. Kyle was great and before we set of, he mentioned the risk of mosquitoes, especially with the recent rain. We popped on t shirts, kyle was wearing a long sleeve shirt and trousers, i thought that was strange as it was so hot. How wrong we were, the trip was amazing, but the choice of clothes we made led to us being fresh on the menu to the local bugs. Our advice, wear loose fittings trousers and shirt to reduce the risk of being on the menu. However, despite being bitten, the trip was amazing, Kyle's knowledge of the ecosystem and the work underway in Florida was first rate, we learnt so much. The wildlife was beautiful and we got to see so much birdlife, manatees and a big alligator 🐊👀 We highly recommend this trip, and the pictures Kyle took and shared with us were the icing on the cake. Thank you Kyle, keep up the great work Darren and Sally
