I had a really great afternoon with Moses, Quick and Typhoon, getting to know their personal histories - in equal parts tragic and inspiring - while walking through areas of Nairobi that had shaped them. I was the only person on the tour that day and they took to utmost care to ensure I was safe, informed and having a good time. Would absolutely recommend this walking tour to anyone with an interest in getting to know another side of the city / country off the typical tourist or conference route.

This tour was eye opening and impactful. Hearing about life on the streets through the eyes of someone who lived through it left us with both appreciation and respect. Our guide truly was the King!

We would highly recommend this tour - fascinating to see the daily lives of many people in Kenya struggling to make a living and to hear at first hand the story of our guide, Morgan, a former street child himself. It was a heart warming experience.

This is the best walking tour I have ever taken. We were guided by Dongo and Morgan. They were both deeply generous to share their stories. We were touched by their warmth, honesty and resilience. This tour is an incredible opportunity to see Nairobi through a lens not typically available to travelers. I can’t recommend it highly enough

Our city tour through Nairobi Downtown with Tsunami was one of the most impressive and meaningful experiences of our entire trip – absolutely outstanding and a true highlight! The tour started in Uptown Nairobi and led us into Downtown, revealing a fascinating contrast between the modern and the raw, authentic sides of the city. But what made this experience truly unforgettable was Tsunami himself. He shared his life story with incredible honesty – growing up on the streets, struggling with drugs and crime – and how he managed to turn his life around. Today, he dedicates his time and energy to helping street kids in Nairobi, giving them hope and a chance for a better future. His story was heartbreaking, powerful, and inspiring all at once. You can feel that this tour is not staged or commercial – it’s real, raw, and deeply human. Tsunami knows every corner, every story, and every struggle of these streets, and he shares them with empathy, humor, and authenticity. Beyond the emotional side, the tour was also fascinating and lively: we saw the colorful Matatus (local buses), walked through the Red-Light District, had a beer in a local pub, and enjoyed authentic Kenyan food in a local restaurant – a true insider’s glimpse into Nairobi’s everyday life. I have rarely met someone as inspiring as Tsunami – a man who has experienced the darkest sides of life yet radiates so much positivity and compassion today. If you truly want to understand Nairobi, this tour is an absolute must. Conclusion: A moving, honest, and deeply enriching experience – so much more than just a city tour. Huge thanks to Tsunami for his openness, courage, and incredible energy!

We went on a city tour with Morgan and Priest, and it was absolutely fantastic! They were incredibly knowledgeable, insightful, and friendly, sharing not only facts but also personal stories that gave real depth to the experience. It felt like we were seeing a side of Nairobi that most visitors never get to see—the genuine, everyday life of the city beyond the usual tourist spots. Morgan and Priest made us feel safe and well cared for the entire time, and their warmth and humor made the day even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour — it’s a unique and meaningful way to experience the real Nairobi

Excellent tour with Quick. We learnt so much about the city. He took great care of us at all times, even crossing the road! Really interesting to see parts of the city we would probably not have visited. Would thoroughly recommmend!

Allows you to see a side of Nairobi you wouldn’t be able to otherwise, with friendly guides who really know the streets. It was a great experience, an exposure to a harsh reality, and I feel I understand this place a little bit more. Definitely one of the more special activities for foreigners in Nairobi.
