We booked the tour before arriving in Kenyan, and it was highly recommended by others who had been to Nairobi. Upon arrival, we learned that the "Boma" site run by the government has been closed a few months earlier. Instead many of the dancers had set up temporary sites across Nairobi. We tried to cancel but were told alternate arrangements were made, and the trip would go ahead. It was within 24 hours of the tour, so no refund would be provided. The driver, somewhat surly, took us to a tourist stop with a souvenir shop and a tent set up in a parking lot. There, we, and another tour group, watched a small group of dancers do traditional dances. They did work hard to entertain. We were also taken to a bead and leather factory run by single mothers. In the end, it was not the experience we expected and definitely not as advertised for the money. I do not recommend it.

This was a great day. He even took us to Aqueeq Galleria to get rare gemstones! Bomas of Kenya was amazing and he took the time to explain each tribe and how they arrange their structures (granary, huts, etc etc). The actual dances were amazing and it was a monumental experience. Do this specific tour!!!! You will remember this day forever

Kelvin was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and very straightforward. He was helpful and accommodating. He explained all the nuances between all the ethnic groups of Kenya and answered all our questions. We were so happy to be supporting a local tourism company and a very talented guide like Kelvin! Can’t wait to go explore other places in Kenya with his guidance!!

This was a very interesting tour, giving us an opportunity to learn a little about various Kenyan cultures and their traditional way of life. Walking through the recreated traditional homesites helped visualize the stories of the people and how they lived (and still live in some cases). The traditional music and dance show was also very entertaining and fun to watch. I was a little hesitant to do the stop at the beads factory beforehand, but it was actually very cool to see how these beads are made from scratch and watch the women working on the many different stages of production (my daughter especially enjoyed this part of the tour).

We had an amazing time. Kelvin was a fantastic tour guide! We highly recommend him for future tours! We went to Bomas of Kenya and an awesome Maasai shop.

I had the pleasure of having Dennis as my tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He was creative with our itinerary during to unexpected rain and I was appreciative that he was conscientious for our safety in the midst of the unexpected political protests happening. My favorite experience on the tour was the Kenya Boma immersion. That alone made the tour worth while. The visit to the museum helped give some historical and cultural context to Nairobi and the city views from the top of the KICC were phenomenal despite the rain clouds. I would absolutely re my do this tour again and recommend to a friend.

This was an excellent way to kick off my Kenya trip! I learned so much about the various tribes of the country, and the performances were incredibly entertaining. I also quite enjoyed my visit to Kobe Tough and was happy to support the women there. I highly recommend you spend an afternoon and book this tour!

We had a wonderful time learning about the culture & traditional values of Kenya. The Boma show was exceptional & the beads factory showcases women empowerment. We got our souvenirs at the Golden Eagle Arts center. Our tour guide Kelvin was knowledgeable & very patient with us throughout the tour.
