1. Belmont Mansion is a historic mansion located in Nashville, Tennessee. It was built by Adelicia Acklen, a wealthy plantation owner and businesswoman, in 1853. The mansion is considered one of the largest antebellum homes in the South, with 36 rooms and over 19,000 square feet of space. It features a grand ballroom, a library, and a secondary kitchen for cooking and baking.

The mansion has an interesting history, having been used as a meeting place for Confederate generals during the Civil War and later serving as a women’s college. Today, it is open for public tours and serves as a popular wedding venue.
