A great day but the travelling time was long - bus about 45 min then 11/2 hr ferry. The activities were well organized, safe and a lot of fun. Highly recommend!

It started very well with decent pick up and guidance, briefing etc.We had a good sand-boating experience and it was fun. After having a quick lunch break, it was time for snorkelling on the ship wreck. The operators had a weirdest way of taking tourists from the shore to the wreck by literally dragging on the back of a speedboat (6-8 people together). For anyone new or novice to the activity will loose half of confidence there. My wife had 2 guided snorkel experiences before and we thought it will be the same but we lost it there. No way an operator should be this careless . Someone may argue to this but to me ( being a decent swimmer) , I didn’t like the experience either. Worst part, asking for help, they literally left us waiting with a panic mode ON in the water till they gathered some more tourists like us to take back to shore. We left it there and didn’t go for kayaking but no regret. You may be champion to what you do, caring for everyone is a MUST and I felt it was not there to the extend it was required for tourists. Mind you, the risk in the water is not always about sinking but the mental strength and heart. Overall, Moreton island is great, just the operator was not one of the best.

This is my 3rd time doing a tour to Moreton island. I actually believe I did one with sunset safaris back in 2019 that was really well done. This time I have to say the problem was that the tour was WAY too big. There were over 80 people on one tour. The group was broken up into 4 sub groups. But still with over 20 people in each group it is just not enjoyable. While kayaking every boat was bumping into the other the entire time, you could barely paddle at all because there were people in front, behind, and on each side of you and they kept stopping every few meters to talk about another part about the island. Maybe for future instead of the frequent stops try one at the beginning and then wrap up with one at the end. Otherwise it is very much bumper kayaks. Snorkeling was the best out of all 3 activities simply because there are so many fish and the reefs are really cool. But when there are 20+ other people around you, you get a few flippers to the face. There were people being way too aggressive kicking very hard when you're centimeters away from each other and no one correcting these actions. Lunch wasn't bad, it was wraps with cold cuts. There were a lot of flies all over the food so maybe some food nets would be a good idea. Then for sand surfing they brought over 40 of us out there at once and we each were only able to go down twice. I assume there usually is a little more time sand surfing but the problem this time was again, there were too many people, so the bus they had didn't fit the size of the group. I think they said the bus can hold 42 people and there were 43 in our group. So we had to drive to another location and change buses. I will say the tour guides themselves were great, this isn't their fault, but groups this big are just not manageable. And lastly, it was a very expensive tour and the admission was not included, it is $80 on the day of. Not worth the money, I do hope they change the layout of this tour because the island itself if beautiful.

We had the best experience! From top to bottom everything was very well planned out. The tour guides Ryan, Will, Byron and Darcy were very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. Ryan was a blast helping an “ole” lady and her beautiful “daughter” in from kayaking. Darcy saved our bus from a wayward tree branch! So we had an amazing day! Highly recommend this tour!

Our trip included the ferry ( which is not included in the price A$80 ), kayaking, snorkling and sand dune sliding and lunch. Snorkling requires a wetsuit and for 'larger' people, they seem to underestimate what size you need. Putting on the wetsuit was a physically demanding exercise. It did keep me warm in the cool water. While snorkeling my face mask continually leaked despite all the best efforts. Since I had to stop to continually clear the mask, I was not able to keep up with the group because of the strong current. My snorkle did not have any protective covering, so the slightest splash caused me to have to stop and clear it as well. I had to give up and was really dissatisfied with this part of the trip. The coral growing on the old shipwrecks is not very colorful either. Regarding the trip to the sand dune desert, the drive up and down was quite an adventure as these roads are all sand and well rutted. Our driver masterfully drove the 4wd bus on these rough roads. Depending on your condition, you may find the climb to the top of the sand dune quite taxing in the strong sun. The sand is very fine and you slip a lot going up. They give you a thin board on which to tobaggan down the sand dune. You must keep up the front edge up or you will eat sand. It's like snowsledding on sand. The items for lunch were wraps with sandwich meat and various toppings. However, other than a log, there are really no places to sit to properly relax and enjoy lunch.

This excursion is a wonderful experience. The guides are brilliant, they have a combination of experience, enthusiasm, humour and care which is really perfect. The sandboarding was amazing, most people didn’t know what to expect but it was great fun. The snorkelling was brilliant, lots of fish surrounding us, certainly the highlight for us. We were the oldest people on the tour but we are reasonably fit and the whole thing worked really well for us. Thank you!
