Very interesting continuous commentary on the way up to the koala sanctuary. It was a special experience to pet a koala and feed kangaroos.

We had a great river cruise and visit to the sanctuary. The narration on the boat was very informative -- it was good to learn a bit about Brisbane and the surrounding area. We enjoyed the sanctuary. We booked the Koala Moment experience -- we got to pet the koalas--in advance (done directly with the Lone Pine Sanctuary), but I don't think the advance booking was necessary (we were there in early November). It seemed like they had sign ups available on the spot.

My husband and I went to Lone Pine Sanctuary on the MiramarIi with Robbie at the helm and a delightful crew assisting! We loved every minute of his informative and witty commentary as we cruised down the river to the best Sanctuary ever! There were loads of Koalas and Kanagroos! We also loved seeing the reptiles, birds, crocs and the best surprise of all… a giant Cassowary! It was fabulous! We highly recommend this tour!

Great commentary during outward journey, very informative and great views. Positives- Sanctuary well laid out and great to be able to get close to many of the animals although would be useful to have more staff around to ensure those tourists with little regard for the ‘ personal space’ of e.g the kangaroo’s, behaved in a way not to cause any distress. We saw 2 idiotic visitors chasing after 1 kangaroo! Croc enclosure was very small. Overall, very enjoyable trip and recommended.

The loan pine koala reserve was a great place to see Australia's unique wildlife, including koalas, kangaroos, crocodiles, dingos, as well as many of the colorful birds. The cruise boat was a very relaxing and great way to get there. There were great views of Brisbane from the water as well as many unique and beautiful homes along the riverbank on the way to the reserve. The owners of the boat were very nice and there was food and drink available to purchase on the boat. It was a very fun outing.

The kangaroos encounter was amazing. Up close to these amazing animals was an experience we were not expecting. The entire sanctuary was great but the roos were the highlight.

Nice boat ride up to sanctuary able to grab drinks and a light meal for the ride up. A commentary is played pointing out interesting buildings with a little information along the way. Captain Robby is an excellent pilot courteous and entertaining your safety is paramount to him. His crew are very polite and respectful and are there to keep you safe and make the trip more enjoyable. The sanctuary itself is a great little place with the animals you want to see in Australia. Make sure to purchase additional activities available at the sanctuary can sell out. Well worth it

The river cruise to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary near Brisbane was a great experience from start to finish. Upon arrival at the sanctuary, the staff greeted us warmly and provided insightful information about the koalas and other native animals. The sanctuary is well maintained, with ample space for the animals to roam comfortably. Petting a koala was a magical moment—gentle, serene, and unique. The cruise itself was smooth and relaxing, with a knowledgeable guide sharing fascinating stories about the region’s ecology and history. The combination of scenic water travel and up-close wildlife encounters made this tour a perfect blend of nature, education, and recreation.
