River cruise was very informative. Weather was pretty cold but blankets were provided and snacks were available to purchase. The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary was a super fun experience. Lots of koalas (including baby koalas), kangaroos, sheep herding demonstration (unique), a platypus, and lots more.

Can get pretty hot, we found that standing at the front of the boat was better once you got going. The Koala Sanctuary was great. If you book the Koala experience you are not able to hold them, just pet them. The staff were wonderful and very kind. They have beer, food, drinks etc on the boat for a decent price.

Such a great experience and everyone was friendly and informative. All was enjoyable, just wish we had a bit more time at the sanctuary.

Excellent day out for all the family. Lovely leisurely cruise up the Brisbane River with an entertaining and informative commentary. The koala sanctuary is superb. Lots of animals to see and interact with. Very professional and caring set up

Captain was humorous and very knowledgeable…crew were very solicitous and the ride was very scenic as well as informative. Koala sanctuary met expectations and beyond!

Nice boat ride down the river with friendly, accomodating staff. Lone Pine has a good variety of animals. Koala moments is overpriced for a few minutes to only pat a koala.

This cruise was an excellent way to see Brisbane from a different perspective, as well as experience Australian wildlife up close. The Mirimar II is berthed near the Cultural Experience Centre, and was relatively easy to find on the waterfront. The captain and his crew were very pleasant and helpful. The audio narrative up river for the 75 minute cruise was very informative regarding the history and development of Brisbane over the decades. The Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary was a great experience as well, with ample native wildlife to see. The koalas were so much fun to watch. The $35 "pet a koala" experience was unfortunately sold out by the time we went to purchase the experience for my daughter, as a busload of tourists had just arrived. We were in the Sanctuary over the lunch hour, which led to quite the rush on the cafe, and also kept a fair amount of the wildlife hidden away in the shade. The open areas with the kangaroos and emus was a lot of fun as well, I was happily surprised at the respect the attendees showed the animals in terms of keeping our distance from them. There was ample time to see the whole Sanctuary before reboarding the Mirimar II to head back town to the Brisbane waterfront. My wife, daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience and would easily recommend it to anyone wanting a riverboat experience with up-close contact with Australian wildlife.

The crew was lovely, the 'river tour' narration was superb, everything in the trip was clearly described. The food on the boat was 'good enough' (not a lot of healthy or vegetarian or fresh foods), the drink selection was good, and the weather was really nice. Getting to see all the different houses along the river banks was really educational and interesting. The Koala Sanctuary was well done, a lot of things to like about that too. If you're thinking about doing that and wouldn't mind going out on the water, this was a great way to spend the day.
