Exclusive Panda Close-Up: Private Chengdu Sanctuary Tour

Expensive, but worth the cost to help avoid the crowds. We started by walking to the very top of the park with very few tourists and then taking a route back down the mountain which made for a very enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend going in the morning if possible to see the pandas when they are most active!

Glorious day at the Chengdu Panda Center. We had a 7:30am pick up at the hotel by our guide Perry. He was prompt and friendly and answered all our questions on the 30 or so minute drive. Perry knew which parts of the park to start off at before the crowds came. He also knew shortcuts to get around the massive park faster than if you just had a map. We saw so many Giant pandas and red pandas. My friend and I were looking forward to this day trip for a long time and it was just as great as we imagined. We chose the longer day tour so we also saw some other important Chengdu sites and ended at the People’s Park having tea. A perfect end to the day. Highly recommend. .

Perry was our guide for the day. He was knowledgeable about the pandas and knew the best routes through the large area. We saw many pandas playing and enjoyed our day immensely with Perry. He took us for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. He asked ahead of time about our food preferences and spice tolerance. We then toured the Buddhist temple. He informed us about the meaning of the many buddhas. We walked through a shopping district filled with local crafts and food. We ended our day in the People’s park at a lovely tea house. Throughout the day he told us stories about local legends and traditions like the 5 elements that comprise tea. He was lovely and very easygoing. Our best day yet in China!

Our local guide Jason was very helpful and looking after us well. We met most of the pandas, avoiding the busy crowd, and had a relaxing time to connect with the panda. Highly recommended this tour for panda lovers especially being the first visit.

So glad we went with the Private English speaking Guide Tour, it is efficient, time saving and didn't missed a thing. I'd also make changes on pickup location and every time I received a reply promptly.

Jason was the best guide! He was very outgoing and friendly, and also helped us when we got lost getting into the city! He also knew a lot about the pandas we were seeing and knew the best spots to see the pandas, we saw baby pandas!!!! Jason’s English was great and clear. I would recommend this tour and ask for Jason!!

Jason was a great guide and was very outgoing. He showed us all the best spots to see the pandas. We even got to saw the baby pandas out and about. We also had difficulty getting to our hotel to our agreed pick up point but he was very understanding and picked us up at the area we got lost in when we dropped him a pin! Wonderful tour! It was a truly enriching experience, where we learned a little about giant pandas. Our guide, Perry, was perfect. He was attentive and very helpful. He also gave us the opportunity to learn more about China, its culture, and interesting facts about this beautiful country.
