Watch for pickpockets. Very easy walking tour. Minimal shopping Very close knit town. Our guide knew everyone. Very interesting how the different windmills perform different functions.

This was my husband and I’s first trip to Amsterdam. This trip Zaanse Schans Windmills, Clogs and Dutch Cheese with a small group is so worth experiencing. It was a little over $100.00 for 2 adults for a 3 1/2 hour trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable and provided much information and facts while on the trip. She provided the facts as to why the houses are painted different shades of green. Also certain windmills provide power for particular tasks. The different shades of green were very interesting. There were several windmills working on this tour. We were then explained the process for making cheeses and then given an opportunity to sample a variety. We were also given a demonstration on how clogs are made, both by hand and by today’s technology.

This was a cute little Village that was walkable. It included visits to a wooden shoe store, cheese store and viewing of windmills. I was able to climb up in one of the windmills to a viewing platform. Very nice trip.

Perfect for a morning excursion with a group of college students. Claudia was a fantastic guide—humorous and knowledgeable. It was a beautiful tour and a nice break from the city for a while. I wish I could have spent more time there!

A must for first timers! I Learned so much about windmills and their history, clog and cheese making. Some rain showers that morning but we were prepared with our umbrellas .Our tour guide Claudia and driver Kenny were great ! Felt a little bit rushed when it came to shopping for souvenirs as we were only given about 20 min at each store . Maybe i just shop slow ,but not really a big deal! Otherwise it was such an incredible experience!
