Jakarta Immersion: Unforgettable Full-Day City & Local Tour

This highlights tour was the perfect introduction for a first time visitor to Jakarta! We had a lovely day seeing the the big (Masjid Istiqlal Mosque, Cathedral, Independence Monument), the old (Old Port, Batavia), and the unique culture (Chinatown, markets, Buddist Temple, puppet studio) and others. Our guide, Pinky, was a real highlight and I think she had as much fun as we did - especially when we went for ice cream!

This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had with a tour guide. Catherine was knowledgeable, energetic, and such a joy to spend the day with. She explained everything clearly while keeping up with the pace of the tour. She was also incredibly adaptable and flexible with our needs. I’d highly recommend asking for Catherine if you book a tour with this company.

The operator, Ekaputra Tour, contacted us again the evening before via WhatsApp and very kindly informed us about the exact pick-up time and the dress code for the mosque visit the following day. The city tour started promptly at 8:00 a.m. from the hotel and ended there shortly before 4:00 p.m. Our guide, Isabella, and her driver were very accommodating and polite. The tour included everything promised. Isabella was very attentive, took all the time we needed, and guided us very competently through Jakarta. Her explanations of the country's history and culture were very detailed and in excellent English. She always had good answers to our many questions. We would happily recommend the Jakarta city-tour, Guide Isabella, and her driver!

We had a great day out and about in Jakarta with our guide Isabella. We learned so much in just 1 day. This was amazing. The lunch was also great and made of Indonesian specialties. Absolutely recommend!

Had a great day touring around the city of Jakarta. My tour guide was Augurius (Gus). Gus arrived on-time and was very respectful. He’s very knowledgeable about Jakarta and Indonesia and answered my numerous questions. He provided excellent recommendations for lunch (met my culinary approval, especially the soup!). All-in-all, an excelkent tour!

Excellent introduction to Jakarta and Indonesian history. We visited several historical, political and religious sites and enjoyed a delicious lunch. We were accompanied by a fabulous guide and driver and thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Probably the best tour I’ve been on. Bryan was an amazing tour guide as well as his accompanying driver friend who took great care of us. He was incredibly knowledgeable about everything and answered our questions! Can’t recommend him and this tour enough!
