I would highly recommend this tour when in Jakarta! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and we had a really fun day with Mr August!

Absolutely loved it. Amazing tour. Really nice tour guide. He speaks English well and explained everything nicely. Loved the nice souvenir. The lunch was really delicious.

An amazing experience. My guide Annysa was an expert. She told me all about Jakarta's history in an organized fashion. I learned a great deal about the city, its past and enjoyed the way she explained it. Very professional and very good at her jobl. Abi was a great driver, who nicely tipped the traffic volunteers who helped him navigate busy intersections. The tour was well put together, I saw all the places i wanted to see. Being born in Holland , it was nice to hear about the link of Holland with Indonesia and see the buildings that still stand these days.

Our guide Vicky and the driver arrived early, and that meant we got going promptly, which was great. Our driver's skill made us feel very comfortable throughout the trip. Vicky was friendly, but he didn't have quite the depth of knowledge we'd hoped for today, and when we looked back at the itinerary we didn't go to all the listed locations for example we didn't see or stop at the buddhist temple and we didn't really explore the harbor or get a good look at the wooden fishing boats as some of the photos for this tour suggested we might do. He didn't think to let us know where a toilet was or check if we needed a toilet stop along the way. We had already been to Monas, so we skipped going again. Our choice. The meal that was arranged was amazing. It was delicious and enough to feed 4 people so could easily have been scaled down and still amazing. The gift of coffee at the end was more than we'd expected, the souvenir trinket neiter here nor there, and it didn't make up for the hit and miss nature of the knowledge shared particularly having let our guide know of the interest in maritime history which if we'd been able to walk the waterfront would've been fantastic.

This was an excellent, informative tour. Our guide and driver were very professional and couretous. We saw the highlights of the city in a cool, convenient car, tasted an authentic lunch, and returned to the ship in a timely manner.

Jakarta is a,big city with a lot of poverty. The traffic is challenging and we had concetnd about getting back to our cruise terminal as our ship was scheduled to departure during rush hour so we had to cut the excursion short.

The details in your description should make it plain that 3 hours of the tour were travelling around Jakarta and most of the time spent at the mosque. The guide was very informative and explained things well.

We returned to Jakarta with our children and their partners after 35 years. Mr. August, our guide, and his extremely patient driver did an amazing job locating our old haunts and introducing our adult kids to the marvelous chaos that is Jakarta. We were extremely pleased that they modified the tour to include locating our old home, which was no small feat! Another highlight of the tour was our visit to the Makutharama Puppet Studio. Our group was fascinated to see first hand how the puppets are crafted and enjoyed the impromptu wayang kulit performance. We also soaked in the ambiance at Fatahillah Square and the Cafe Batavia, and marveled at the scale and serenity of Istiqlal Mosque. Jakarta has undergone an amazing transformation in the past three decades, yet still had the same familiar feeling of being a large urban village. We felt very fortunate to see the city anew with such a knowledgeable and personable guide as Mr. August! Terima kasih!

This is a good half day trip to orientate around old Batavia (Jakarta). My guide, Mr Julfrid was very knowledgable and had lots of information on culture and history of West Java and Indonesia. Traffic is always bad, so our driver expertly kept us on schedule. The puppet maker was closed today, so we had a longer walk around the central area. The lunch was excellent (quality and choice) and I was the only European in an Indonesian restaurant, as place was used by local people (which shows it was good). The mosque and cathedral were good visits. Jakarta has a lot of infrastructure developments so traffic is always bad. So be ready to be flexible. Thank you
