Beijing Nights: Private Tiananmen Flag Ceremony & Walk

I would highly recommend this tour, and my guide, Anson, was great. This is an excellent way to see the precision and pageantry of the Chinese military. At dusk you see dozens of service members march from Tiananmen Gate, goose-stepping into the square. They then lower and fold the flag in a series of events that I found quite different from what I’d seen in other world capitals. Anson gave me a crash course in how to navigate the Beijing subway, making sure that I had the all-important transit card on my Alipay app. The neighborhood lights were stunning and now I have a great sense of where to go for delicious street food. 10/10!

Amazing and in-depth tour around the Tiananmen Square, Wangfujing St and a food tour at the end. I was only in Beijing for 48 hours and wasn't able to book a ticket to Tiananmen Square myself so am very grateful to have found this option and have been able to see the square and shown around by such a kind and very knowledgeable tour guide who I spent several hours with while showed me around Beijing. I learned so much and felt like I was taken back in time. Xie xie.

As foreign tourists we were having trouble getting a reservation to enter Tian’anmen Square. We booked this tour and they took care of everything. Our guide helped us navigate all the security check points and we got to see the flag lowering ceremony at sunset. Afterward we did a walking tour through some night markets and got to experience some local street foods.
