1. The One-Pillar Pagoda (Chua Mot Cot) is a small but unique pagoda located in Hanoi, Vietnam. The pagoda was built in 1049 during the reign of Emperor Ly Thai Tong. The main structure of the pagoda is built on a single stone pillar, which is designed to look like a lotus flower, rising out of a pond. The lotus is a symbol of purity and enlightenment in Buddhism. The pagoda was destroyed during the French War but was rebuilt in 1955. It has since become a popular tourist attraction in Hanoi.
