Unforgettable Munich: Third Reich Origins & Hitler Tour

Guide was super knowledgeable and informative. She gave us the background on things but didn’t overload us.

A fascinating and sobering 2 1/5 hour walking tour that was extremely informative and interesting. This is something everyone should do in Munich to really get a good understanding of some of the history here. Museums are great but hearing and seeing stories and buildings first hand cannot be beaten. Aisling was an excellent guide.

Excellent tour. Our guide Keith was extremely knowledgeable and well versed in the history of WWI and WWII. The tour went far beyond just showing the places where significant events occurred; the focus was on the historical background and "why" of the events. It really brought the significance and impact of the various events to life. He also did a great job of making sure all questions were answered before moving on to the next location. I would highly recommend this Radius tour.

Jake was the best tour guide, ever. He was informative and had a great sense of humor. The best thing we have done in Munich so far.

Our guide from Radius Tours was Jeff. We took a short S-Bahn ride together to the old town to begin our tour. My son is currently studying this subject as part of his GCSE history. It was great to help consolidate some of the things my son knew as well as providing greater background and context. Very interesting to see where things actually happened and to be able to have a picture in mind. Jeff had some photos to share with us and covered from Hitler's childhood through to his rise to power and the build up to WW2. Jeff found more sheltered places as far as possible to explain things and how they fitted together. Despite it being a fairly serious subject, Jeff added a little humour as appropriate. We did the walk on a Sunday morning which was great as the streets were quiet and so we could take photos without loads of people in the way. The only tricky bit was when all the churches started ringing their bells! You absolutely don't need to be studying history to find this tour really interesting. We walked at a sensible, steady pace with lots of stops to look at things and listen to the information. Questions were all answered and Jeff was able to advise everywhere how to get to wherever they wanted to go at the end of the tour - we went to Marienplatz to find some lunch, others wanted to go back to the S-Bahn etc.

It was a very interesting tour and provided a lot of context and reference to the books I have read. We enjoyed our guide, Michelle, she was incredibly knowledgeable and took her time to answer all questions. Michelle even gave a few outstanding recommendations for dinner locations!

Jeff was a great tour guide. He was so knowledgeable. He made sure to chat with each of us separately, get to know us. He answered everyone's questions. We really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone!
