Our guide was excellent, he has a wealth of knowledge, answered questions and has a wonderful manner. Because of the government shutdown some of the Yorktown schedule was not available but because of his knowledge he was able to divert to another are on the battlefield and compensated for the closed area.

We’ve been in 50+ tours similar to this and can honestly say this was one of the best. Matt was amazingly knowledgeable and charming. The sites were incredible for two old farts that don’t remember their high school history on the Revolutionary War. A really fun and educational day. Thanks Matt.

Matt was incredibly knowledgeable and made telling the story of our nation’s history fun. His sense of humor and interesting historical tidbits even kept my tween and teen engaged. When you consider that lunch is included as well as transportation and a multi-hour guided tour of the area it’s quite a deal. In addition to his guided tours at the museum he allows for time to wander the museum areas and peruse the gift shops on your own. We found that this was plenty of time to visit the various exhibits and read all our brains could handle. We had considered visiting Yorktown and Jamestown on our own but I’m so glad we did this instead. There were so many things we would have missed or understood less deeply without the additional details Matt provided. Save yourself some driving and spend an entertaining and educational day on this tour. You will not regret it.

Our guide, Matt, was extremely knowlegeable about historic facts. He provided insight and background information for both locations. He was very personable and presented a "family" atmosphere for everyone on the tour. The Yorktown battlefield was closed due to the government shutdown but he improvised so we didn't miss anything. A special thanks to Matt for making this the highlight of our visit.

Don’t hesitate to book this tour, Matt was great. We learned so much during our tour, he had you on your toes waiting for next stop. Our bus was clean and comfortable and lunch was great. We couldn’t have asked for a better day with this tour. Definitely book this one.

It’s absolutely the best tour I’ve ever been on. Matt is so knowledgeable of the area. You grow up in Virginia but learned a lot more than I ever knew about our history in Jamestown and Yorktown.

Matt was a wonderful guide. He kept us entertained and laughing. He was a wealth of knowledge and history. We had a fantastic day and plenty of time to enjoy on our own.
