The 8day tour of Kerala arranged by Sanguine Holidays was well organized. All hotels The Leaf (Munnar), The Green Forest ( Thekkady), KTCD Sumsndra ( Kovalam) & Blue Green Houseboat ( Alleppey) were very good, well serviced & comfortable. Our driver Sumesh, was excellent. His driving skills must be complimented. He was friendly, accommodating, punctual & good suggestions on places of interest. Nimisha was superb in organizing the iternary & checking at every venue if we were ok. Sanguine Holidays is highly recommended.

We had the most wonderful tour organized by Nimisha. Our guide and driver, Sumesh, was not only extremely professional and knowledgeable but also one of the kindest people we’ve ever met—a true asset to Sanguine Holidays. He tailored every activity to our needs and preferences, making the experience feel truly personal. We’re leaving Kerala with the most beautiful memories, thanks to their thoughtful planning. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by what to do in Kerala, just place your trust in the capable hands of Sanguine Holidays. Highly recommended! —Eleni

Great trip from start to finnish. Something our driver was very good knowing the best places to get some amazing picks. All thr hotels we stayed in were very nice and the boat on the backwater was exceptional.

I took a private tour with my partner in Kerala. We are from the US but are very familiar with India in general, although this was our first visit this far south. We started the tour by meeting our driver Anil. He was the constant friendly face and guide for the week. We really enjoyed his company. He was excellent. Clean cut, a careful driver and he cared about us. Anil took us to the Fragrant Nature hotel which was a significant drive from the airport. The hotel is a heritage hotel, which means that it was older but in beautiful condition and completely modernized. The room was clean, comfortable and well air conditioned. The bed was a little hard, but otherwise we had no complaints. The bar prices were a little steep, but that's common in this area. On our 2nd day we had a local guide. He was friendly but just didn't "get" us. We wanted to see temples, but he took us to churches. The high point of the tour was the outdoor laundry. We declined to enter most of the tourist trap locations he took us to. We don't want saris, perfumes, tourist spices etc... He also didn't offer to take our photos and such. He wasn't bad, he just wasn't a good fit for us. The tour ended with us being dropped off at a local restaurant where we bought our lunch. Later that afternoon we bumped into a tuk tuk driver, Niyas, who turned out to be an excellent guide. He took us to a real spice market and many other places. We loved his tour and I have reviewed this elsewhere. Sanguine is currently considering offering this tuk tuk tour as part of their offerings. It was great. After 2 nights in Fort Kochi, Anil took us to our houseboat adventure. This was a long drive, but Anil made sure we had breaks. We opted for a high end houseboat with on-request AC. It was great. Our pilot, Lijo and our cook, Anil (a different one) were so kind and great. Anil was a fantastic cook. He made us breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and just chatted with us. The houseboat was clean, well maintained and comfortable. I wouldnt recommend this tour for people who are not steady on their feet. To access the houseboat, you have to use a 10 inch wide plank, but we didn't have an issue with it. The scenery and sights will be with me forever. Definitely take the opportunity to extend the trip to tour the canals and to get tiger prawns from the fish market. The next day was another long drive to Thekkady. Anil (driver) gave us breaks and we chatted on the long trip. We stayed at the Blanket Days hotel (reviewed elsewhere). Nimisha from Sanguine scored us some boat tickets to see wild elephants. We saw a small family group of elephants. It was a long trip to get to the boat, and it was fun but very crowded. The next day, Anil took us to Munnar where we checked into another Blanket resort (reviewed elsewhere). We did a tea plantation tour and the we opted to take a jeep tour to see some sights and a close-up of wild elephants. It was a loooong drive, but the jeep driver was really great. We got back after dark, but it was well worth the trip. The next day we did a long hike up a local mountain. It was the high point of our trip (pun intended). We loved the guide and the scenery was mind blowing. The hike has optional difficulty levels and we chose to do the most challenging. This was a no-guardrails trek with plenty of risk, but high rewards. You can easily opt for something more gentle, but you only live once. Our guide was Raja. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. We really enjoyed his tour. The rest of the day we spent at the hotel relaxing and enjoying the numerous activities at the hotel. We loved this whole vacation. Some critical parts to remember... there are some long drives between different towns. Sometimes over 4 hours. A good driver is critical. Also, this is India. Be flexible and understanding when things go differently and always understand that tours that you take will have hidden extra costs. Nothing extreme, but just make sure you have plenty of rupees... We ran out of cash part way thru and had some challenges getting dollars changed to rupees. Foreign credit cards are often not accepted in small towns. If you like to drink beer, wine or spirits then tell your driver. Kerala has some weird rules about alcohol and even 5 Star hotels are often dry. Sanguine proved to be a great company to book through. Everything was lined up and well organized. Anil was the person who made sure that we were taken care of at every step, but Nimisha was easy to contact and she really cares about your vacation success.

Wow! It was my dream after previous visits to Northern India to see some of Southern India and WOW I was not disappointed. This company made my dream come true with a seamless experience visiting Kerela, which is truly "God's Own Country, " as they call it. Upon arrival in Kochi, we were welcomed warmly by the most amazing driver ever, Anil. The vehicle was very comfortable for our trip, clean, and well maintained. Anil himself wasn't just a driver. Not only was he beyond professional, he was a friend that helped tailor the six day tour to our unique interests and worked on our behalf to make every day of our visit as seamless as possible. Every hotel was absolutely stunning and helped enhance our visit, even if the hotels themselves had a few minor flaws as most hotels do. Nimisha, the owner, was readily available for communication and help if there were any major issues, but fortunately that was not the case for us. However, make sure you thoroughly research the specific and suggested activities you may be interested in prior to arrival. Then, bring more than enough rupees for those activities prior to arrival or be prepared to head to an atm for rupees for various acitvies that don't accept credit cards. Overall, I highly recommend this company for someone that wants to explore Kerala and/or southern India. It's vital to have a professional and experienced driver that can act as a safe beacon and guide when visiting multiple cities in India, especially in the many isolated and rural, albeit stunning, areas of Kerela. Sanguine Holidays and Anil provided this in spades and took the planning and worry out of the equation, which made for a perfect holiday in Kerala.

Unforgettable tour through Kerala Our trip through Kerala was simply unique and beautiful! The impressive nature, the green tea plantations, the idyllic backwaters and the dreamlike beaches made a deep impression on us. Every day was full of new experiences and unforgettable moments. Special thanks go to our driver Ismael, who made the tour something very special. He was not only an excellent driver, but also a wonderful guide with a wealth of knowledge about the region. Thanks to his friendly manner, helpfulness and professionalism, we felt safe and comfortable at all times. We can recommend this tour without reservation - a perfect mix of relaxation, adventure and cultural highlights. Nimisha and Anil our guide were amazing, and I would recommend this tour for anyone who wants a hassle free vacation. Nimisha spoke with me from the time I booked and was able to make accommodations for everything we wanted to see in Kerala. She had amazing recommendations and was able to book things for us when we weren’t able to. Anil our guide was amazing and had a wealth of knowledge about Kerala. My parents love plants and he made it a point to stop anytime there was an interesting plant when we were driving. We were able to meet Nimisha as well and she gave us a folder with our hotel itineraries the plan for the whole trip as well as general information about Kerala before we headed out for our trip. The boat ride was amazing and we had the whole boat to ourselves and the chef made amazing food. I think if I had the option to go again I would choose the boat that has windows because there was a fair amount of mosquitos in the night. Overall, the experience was a 10/10.

We had excellent trip as planned with right SUV. The driver and guide Sumesh was very humble, courtrous, willing to accommodate and variations. He being from Munnar was fully versed with the whole area, best shops, restaurants etc. So we had great time in Kerala.

This tour was phenomenal. Everything was handled for us in the most graceful way and the sites were stunning. Nimisha was incredibly helpful and always available to answer any questions. The tea plantations at Munnar were some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to! And the walk up the national park with the mountain goats was so lovely. Highly recommend Sanguine to book your Kerala vacation!
