This was a great day visiting an important part of history and then having a unique experience in the mine. Be prepared to be on your feet and walking all day. Also would recommend bringing your own snacks as the lunch was small.

A lot of walking and stairs. Very educational. The Salt mines are incredible! The driver didn’t really say anything about the area while driving.

Brilliant, pick up was from Best Western in old town at 5:55am (we waited in reception and driver came dead on time for us, 1.5 hr journey with a documentary which was very moving. Once we arrived we headed straight through to security (take ID) and then was introduced toour tour guide, who was amazing. Walk around was very moving. Once finished we met back at the van and travelled 5 mins to the next part. We went straight in (if you need the bathroom id suggest waiting until you get into the next part, otherwise the one in the carpark charges) walk around was nice and calm. We then met at the cafe and we got given our lunch (select when booking) we got a ham, cheese and salad roll each, a chicken pasta salad pasta, water and a chocolate bar, all delicious and fresh. Then we made our way to the salt mines. Again very smooth and we went straight in and started our tour. Once finished met back at the van and travelled back to hotel, drop off right outside the door. We are coming back next year and without a doubt will be using this exact option. Faultless.

Great tour - very good drivers, hosts and then the guides at each activity were exceptional. Note that they can change the order of the experiences so don't assume you'll do one or the other first.

We booked a combined tour to Auschwitz-Birkenau and the Wieliczka Salt Mine from Krakow, and it was perfectly organized from start to finish. We were picked up directly from our hotel by our driver Michael, who was absolutely amazing — very friendly, professional, and helpful throughout the entire day. At Auschwitz-Birkenau, our tour guide Lukas did an exceptional job. He guided us through the different areas with deep respect and sensitivity and provided a lot of valuable historical context. It was an emotional and eye-opening experience that we will never forget. At the Wieliczka Salt Mine, our guide Marek was equally fantastic — very knowledgeable, with a wonderfully dry sense of humour that made the tour both educational and entertaining. The mine itself is incredible; the underground chapels, sculptures, and salt-carved chambers are truly breathtaking. Overall, it was a long but unforgettable day, perfectly organized and led by amazing guides. We highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Krakow — it’s both deeply moving and fascinating.

We’d like to extend a big thank you to Mr. Shuttle for an excellently organized tour. We visited both Auschwitz-Birkenau and Wieliczka and were very satisfied with the entire experience. The service was truly professional, and our operator, Mr. Michał, was extremely helpful and attentive to every detail. We highly recommend it!

The whole experience was first class from start to finish. We were picked up on time from our meeting point, and from the start of the tour of Auschwitz-Birkenau to the end of the tour we had a lovely guide who answered any questions we had with knowledge and honesty. The guide described everything as we went round both camps with complete honesty and clarity, which kept the group enthralled from start to finish. This made the whole experience more enjoyable but also very sombre. The visit to the salt mine was an experience we are glad we did. Again the tour guide was first class, and again answered any questions that were asked of her, she kept the group enthralled from start to finish. Well done Viator, give yourself a pat on the back.
