Saona Island VIP Catamaran: Unforgettable Paradise Awaits

My partner and I went on the day trip a few weeks ago and it was brilliant. The staff were very helpful with us making payment due to some issues with us getting cash. The whole day was great. A lovely catamaran with on boat drinks, toilets and shower, lovely lunch. The guides helped us locate starfish, stingrays and blowfish whilst snorkeling. A great time on santa away from the other parties. A small inclusive group (other catamaran we saw were standing room only!) The trip was the best part of our 10day holiday at a 5 star hotel by a long way. It was truly excellent value for money and a lovely day out. Thank you

Had a wonderful time at Soana Island. The luxury catamaran is spacious and comfortable. The trip was set at a good pace and plenty of snacks on offer. Thoroughly enjoyed this trip and would definitely recommend.

I got picked up at my hotel. Then it was about 90 mins to get to the site. I checked in and th company gave me a bracelet. And off we were. Angel, Captain Andre’s and the staff were so professional and very friendly and it was an amazing time. It is small group in a big catamaran. The amazing thing was that we all had room to roam the boat. I and others noticed other boats and how packed. We had our own private beach time at Saona amd man I felt like I was in heaven. One thing I do want to emphasize is bring as much mosquito repellent as you can. They will get you. Overall the best experience in an excursion I’ve had while traveling. If I do come back I’m definitely booking them again. Everything was amazing and very thankful for the experience

Wonderful trip. Very attentive crew who were knowledgeable, funny and polite. A far better way to do the excursion than through a package holiday organised trip, and in many cases cheaper. Despite having a small problem with an app booking, the team easily and quickly resolved the problem by whatsapp. It was lovely to spend the day at a gentle pace with a small group of people rather than being crammed on a loud party boat. The lunch on board was wonderful and we can't recommend this company enough ( some of the boarding and leaving the catamaran was a bit hairy...but it added to the fun and the crew managed it with ease) Thank you all Richard and Felicity

We didn’t have very high expectations because of some previous trips we had with other companies, but this experience completely blew us away! It was so amazing that before we even left the boat on the first day, we booked another trip to Catalina. Everything was absolutely excellent — from the itinerary to the incredible crew. The boat was spacious and not crowded, which made the whole trip feel personal and special. It truly felt like it was all about us: what we wanted to do, how we wanted to do it, and how much time we wanted to spend in each place we visited. A huge thank you to Angel, who was just wonderful — beautiful inside and out — and made our trip unforgettable with her warmth and care. And Bernard, the captain, was an absolute star, ensuring everything ran perfectly and smoothly. To the whole Quetzal team: please never change the way you run your business — you are doing an amazing job! We will definitely be back, and we can’t wait to see you all again. Highly, highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a truly special and memorable boat trip.

Myself and partner had the best day and experience. Picked up from our hotel by taxi and driven to the meeting point and was very efficient. Was a perfect smaller group for us which we wanted and arrived at Saona Island and left just as the crowds arrived. Tour guides were very informative, friendly and helpful. The lunch was really enjoyable and we enjoyed the second stop which we then snorkelled and saw many starfish and fish. Would definitely recommend.

Catamaran was nice. Not able to make snorkel stop due to seaweed, Star fish viewing was nice but would have expected to learn something about the starfish, I asked and was given incorrect information when I looked up on my own after the trip. Crew was adequate not as interested to interact much with customers as on other similar excursions. Timing of this trip was good to avoid so many other boats dropping people off on the island , really constantly the whole last hour while we were on the island. An hour Taxi from cap canna, boat taxi to catamaran, boat taxi to the island and back.

We had the best trip to Saona Island - a big thanks to Charlotte and Enrique! We loved being able to sail and enjoy the catamaran on the way there and back. We had the opportunity to jump off the boat into crystal clear blue water, spend approx 1.5 hours on the island, and then snorkel to see starfish. Quetzal even arranged transportation for us from Cap Cana - a big plus!

Captain Bebo and his crew were wonderful! The food was amazing (when the description read “beef” I was not expecting beef tenderloin so tender you barely had to chew and it melted in your mouth)! Our guide, Charlotte, was a delightful young lady. The only down side to our excursion was that we weren’t able to snorkel near the reef and the lagoon smell was horrendous (beyond their control due to brown murky seaweed conditions from it having rained for a couple of days before).
