A fantastic food tour with Jade and Kurt. We had fantastic food and great detail of what we were eating. The Guides English and explanations were amazing.

This was a fantastic tour. Food was plentiful, delicious and unlike anything we've had in UK restaurants. Our guides, Jade and Kurt were excellent. They taught us so much about shanghai. We came away full of respect for them and their vibrant city and full of wonderful food.

The tour offered exposure to multiple types of traditional dumplings and other Cantonese fare. I appreciated the opportunity to sample food from local establishments and gathering a better understanding of Shanghainese life. My tour guide provided a wealth of information and greatly enhanced my visit to the city. I would highly recommend it to a first time visitor.

A great experience, so much food to try. So nice to go to local places and have the inside knowledge of good local food. Nice walk also. Met new people and guides Kurt and Jade were very knowledgeable. They also catered for my specific dietary needs. A great way to spend an evening in Shanghai. Takes all the stress out of finding a good place to eat. Make sure you attend with an empty stomach.

We had such a wonderful time on the food tour! Jade and Kurt really gave us a great experience — they were friendly, knowledgeable, and made everyone feel welcome. Each stop had something unique to offer, and their passion for local food and culture really showed. The pacing was perfect, and we left feeling full and happy, both from the amazing dishes and the great company. Highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an authentic and enjoyable food adventure!

Great tour for an introduction to Shanghai and Chinese dishes. Very well planned and executed. Every dish was delicious and our tour guide TJ did an amazing job introducing each restaurant and dish. She really showed her love for the food of her home town. The restaurants were all in walking distance and seeing the neighborhood was fun. Definitely recommended!

I signed up for the tour aiming to experience a variety of food that sole travelers might not have. I am glad I did and walked away with a full belly with great conversations and travel tips. I gave it four stars only because I was the only attendee that night (the other guy cancelled/did not show up at the last minute.) It would have been ideal if there's more people in the group to share even more types of food. That being said, TJ, the tour guide, ensured she would order food accordingly no matter how big or small the group is. Overall, it was a pleasant food tour for anyone who wants to gain a local perspective in terms of food (of course), culture, life, etc .

Just got back from this food tour and I’m absolutely stuffed (in the best possible way). Kurt was our guide and he was brilliant, super friendly, made everyone feel comfortable, and kept a nice slow pace for my mum, who was a bit older than the rest of the group. Proper gent. He portioned and served everything himself, and somehow made each plate look fancy even though we were eating on the street half the time. The food was unreal a proper mix of things I’d never have ordered on my own. I’ve done a few food tours before, but this is the first one where I actually had to stop myself from rolling home. 10/10, would happily do it again (after I can move again).
