Breathtaking Christchurch Gondola: Unforgettable Summit Views

The views are magnificent and exactly how most reviews read are positive. However that can change and the Customer service today was not of standard. Whilst she may have the attitude she knows best take sometime to Listen to your customer requirements. Regardless of ethnicity and cultures everyone should be treated the same. Remember the customer deserves to have the best experience face to face. For the staff members today at the ticket collection point thought they could laugh after this experience with one of your customers today it certainly is not professional and it didn’t go unnoticed.

Went up the gondola early on the Saturday and pleased we did as it got busy later. The views are awesome on the way up and down, it did not take long to get there really. Had a nice coffee at the top, did not really have time to walk around so came straight back down after looking at the views of the city we once lived in, lots of changes. Highly reccomend for someone coming to the city for the first time.

A bus ride from Christchurch Cathedral centre takes you to the Gondola. You can get a ticket that includes the Gondola and a Tram hop on hop off day pass or individually. Takes 20 mins out to Gondola. Make sure you dress for cool conditions. Very windy at top. Spectacular views along the way and once at the top you have 360° views. A good way to see Christchurch. Bus returns approx on the half hour

try and pick a clear day to go to enjoy the views and well worth doing some of the crater rim walk but make sure you wear sneakers as the start is quite steep, not really a walk for young kids either Nice friendly cafe worth a visit Don't miss the little history ride- it was part of the ticket just go down the steps once you leave the giftshop - only 5mins but the kids loved it

Helpful staff, great view from the top. The longest out of the three skylines in NZ. You need to experience it to find out.

Hiked up the mountain, took the gondola down! Highly recommend this method for some great exercise and views

Great fun with absolutely incredible views! I’d recommend going early so you have plenty of time to walk around and explore the area. The café at the top was fairly average, but the scenery and walking trails more than make up for it. Overall, a memorable experience and definitely worth doing.

Very much enjoyed the gondola trip, the views were amazing. Great to walk around the grass area at the top for the views. Also a great 360 viewing deck around the resturant at the top. Also recommended the gift shop at the top station, some great items at great prices.

Excellent view of the city etc. The cafe served a mean bacon and egg muffin with hollandaise. Well worth the 10 min drive out to the Port Hills from the CBD.
