Isle of Skye & Eilean Donan: Unforgettable Scottish Highlands Tour
No address available
We leave behind the ‘Capital of the Highlands’, for a full-day small-group adventure to the magical Isle of Skye. We drive along the world-famous Loch Ness, home of the elusive monster, and onwards through the mountains towards the west coast. Majestic mountains give way to vast sea lochs, once used by Vikings as an access route to our lands. We stop at the romantic Eilean Donan Castle with time for you to explore inside (optional, pay locally). After crossing the Skye Bridge, learn about the island’s myths and legends, as well as the true tales of rival clans and a fugitive prince. Enjoy lunch in the main town of Portee and visit the colourful harbor. Explore the Isle of Skye’s stunning coastline, and marvel at the Old Man of Storr, Quiraing, and Kilt Rock. Take in the last of Skye’s otherworldly landscape as we drive through the Highlands back to Inverness.

Our trip to the Isle of Skye and Eilean Donan Castle with Ali was wonderful! Ali was very nice and told us a lot of great stories and history about the area. She provided recommendations and we had enough time to explore everything.

Fantastic experience exploring the numerous sites of this lovely island. Thank you to Tony for being a great guide! We were able to cover a great many different sites and explore the island, discovering many different locations that you would simply miss if you did not have an expert with you. Tony was about to provide a huge level of information on various areas and on the history of Scotland. This was an incredible tour and I would suggest it to anyone who is visiting Skye for the first time. :)

It was an amazing experience, the most beautiful day we spent in Scotland. We highly recommend it – an absolute must-do. Our guide, Torquil, had incredible knowledge. He took great care of us throughout the day and even made a special stop so we could see the Highland cows. The next day, when we happened to meet him again in the city, he kindly recommended more programs for us. The music during the trip was fantastic too. We will be forever grateful to him for showing us the most beautiful parts of Scotland. Thank you!

We were only on a two-day trip to Inverness so wanted to make the most of a one day tour. Our tour guide Karen was the perfect combination of knowledgeable, caring, and she’s the best driver. She kept us on schedule and made sure we had a memorable time. Definitely a day we will always remember!

We were in a smallish group. Craig, the driver/guide, made the experience light, comfortable and informative. It is a long day but worth it. The TripAdvisor information about the tour is fairly accurate.

It was perfect! Thoril (not sure if this is the correct spelling, sorry), knows a lot about everything, he was so enthusiastic and played music that created a nice atmosphere. The sightseeing was also incredible, we got to know the beauty of Scotland. My sister got engaged during this tour and Thoril gave her and his fiance a lovely gift. Thank you!
