Andes Majesty: Inca Lagoon & Exclusive Vineyard Indulgence

Victor and Juan provided a fabulous afternoon of sightseeing up to Inca Lagoon. Victor made sure every member of our party was enjoying themselves and was well taken care of alone the way. He was entertaining and informative, as well as patient dealing with multiple nationalities. Highly recommended a tour with Victor!

Be prepared for a lot of time in the van! It can’t be helped as it is a 3 Hour drive. to Portillo from downtown Santiago. Made a stop on the way there for a couple of wine samplings at a fairly small winery and to commune with the llamas. The main attraction here is the ski area at Portillo and Inca lagoon and just seeing the Andy’s up close. Juan, the driver, and Victor, the guide, were great. It must be hard to keep up a conversation for hours on end, but Victor gave it a good shot.

The guide Victor was great on this tour, but overall I was a bit disappointed by the tour. After hotel collection we stopped for a toilet and food pitstop, and then headed to the In Situ vineyard. This was a beautiful setting but the stop was very rushed (felt like less than 30mins all up). The guide talked to us about 3 wines during our tasting (one sparkling and one red), but we didn’t see anyone from the vineyard themselves. We then moved on towards the Andes and up the switchback road, where we stopped for a few photos. We then stopped at the Portillo ski resort for a visit to the lake (very pretty) and lunch at the hotel (OK, but the empanadas were a bit tasteless). The stop here was quite long. We then started the journey home and stopped in to a place that had llamas. I would rather have spent more time at the winery earlier in the day and less time at the llamas. We were then dropped back at our hotels around 5pm. Overall the tour was just OK, but it’s not something I would do again. But Victor was lovely and did a great job as guide.

Great Tour - Fun and informative. Victor is a legend tour-guide & kept us entertained throughout with anecdotes, interesting facts & historical perspectives. Juan is a really safe & considerate driver keeping the whole trip smooth despite some fearsome potholes. Frequent well timed stops prevented boredom & uncomfortable bladders. I’d recommend the tour

It was a great day. Victor and Juan did a great job in leading the tour. The scenery was fantastic. We enjoyed our lunch at the ski lodge and hiking by the lagoon. Thanks for a wonderful time!

I've never experienced mountains like those seen during this tour!!! Riding up to more than 9000 feet above sea level to see the fabulous Inca Lagoon, and the mountains that towered still far above us. Was magical. Our skilled driver, Juan, handled the switchbacks professionally. Alvaro, our guide shared his knowledge, national pride and sense of humor freely, making the day very enjoyable. There were 13 passengers in the van and we became friendly during the day. We also enjoyed the vineyard and wine tasting, and visiting the llamas. Awesome!!

It was great, loved the mountains and the lake. Breathtaking view. We loved our guide, Victor, who spoke great English and was very knowledgeable and approachable. The driver Aljondro did a great job getting us safely to the sites and returned us safely. You will not be disappointed with this great tour.
