I took the one-day Luxor trip, flying from Cairo to Luxor in the morning and returning to Cairo late that same day. It made for an extremely long day but it was well worth the time and expense. My driver in Cairo, Karam, was prompt in picking me up at my hotel at 4:15 am. He was courteous and friendly during the 40-minute drive to the airport. Upon arrival in Luxor, I was met by my guide, Ms. Ghada, who took me to another car with a local driver. We visited all the sights listed in the itinerary. Ghada was very knowledgeable and provided detailed information about each site as well as answers to my questions. I was given time on my own to explore but I usually do this quickly. I prefer private tours so that I can move at my own pace. Karam was waiting for me in Cairo when my flight landed around 11:00 pm. I recommend this excursion as everything went perfectly!! Be ready for large crowds, and hot weather and try to get plenty of sleep the night before.

My entire experience from start to finish was really amazing. My tour guide, Mohammed, was very good. He was attentive, informative and took care of my every need. He was very helpful and game me lots of time to explore on my own. All the sites were great and he made them come to life. I highly recommend this tour and the guide. I had a wonderful experience overall. Thank you.

Ahmed and Faraag are an amazing team. Really loved Faraag's hospitality, personal touch and knowledge of the entire city. Him being a budding Egyptologist is an added benefit. Blindly follow his suggestions and you will have the best time in Luxor.

My wife and I we had very good time. Ramasside Tours agents were professional (Mr Ahmed & Mr Mustafa). Our tour guide from Aswan to Luxor, Mr Mustafa, was very professional and very helpful. The wifi internet service on the boat was very poor. But we did like the service from crew members(from Housekeeping to the servers at the lounge room).

My guide Ghada was wonderful! She is very knowledgeable and has an obvious love of her country and culture. It was great spending the day with her and learning about the upper/lower kingdoms. Luxor is really beautiful and not busy/stressful like Cairo. Next time, I would plan for more time in Luxor.

My guide Ghada was excellent as was the driver Mohammed. I am a solo traveler and nervous about being alone in a strange country, but they were very nice and professional and helped me to enjoy a really lovely experience in Luxor. I learned a lot about Egyptian history and they kept me hydrated all day! They made me feel comfortable while we toured the Valley of the Kings-I just wish I had more time in Luxor to see/do more with them.

Great guide. Very flexible for what we wanted to do: we wanted to go to the winter palace, and he arranged for us to go there and the driver to pick us up in the end.

Booked a last minute trip from Cairo to Luxor through Ramasside Tours. They worked late into the evening to schedule all my activities including flights, transfers, and guide. The guide, Ghada, was fantastic and very knowledgeable. I learned a ton from her and got tons of amazing pictures.

On our last day in Alexandria, we wanted to take safe travel and visit the pyramids. Our tour guide Mahmoud, our driver and the tour operator are professionals. We had a great day with our baby and never worried about our safety. We also learned a lot on the history of the ancient Egyptians and took great photos.

There is so much to say about this trip; it is absolutely worth doing to see the beautiful sights of Luxor: the Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings (King Tut's Tomb), Hatshepsut Temple and more. Luxor is a fascinating place. Mohammed was our tour guide and Egyptologist: he was passionate about his work and gave us lots of information throughout the day. We decided to squeeze this trip into a day as we had a hotel in Cairo for a week. We liked the idea of doing it this way but it was a very long day (ours ended up starting at 2am and finishing at 2am the next day!). We paid an additional $90 for the flight booking: we had booked this trip well in advance, but we were assured that this was because of fluctuating flight prices. We had also asked for an early return flight, after finding availability for one online. This appeared to not be possible so we had to bite the bullet and settle for our midnight flight. I am unsure if we could have completed these bookings ourselves as we aren't experienced travellers and it felt reassuring to have a company arranging transfers, guides etc. Others may be able to arrange this day themselves. (Worth thinking about for better flights etc.) Our tour started at 7am and finished at 2:30pm. We arrived on a very hot day (40 degrees) so we didn't hang around at the sights for too long and kept things swift. It is definitely worth considering your options after the tour: we didn't fancy sitting in Luxor airport for 8 hours and were simply too tired to think about a city tour, so decided to pay for a hotel room. It wasn't a brilliant hotel, but it allowed us a shower and rest before the return flight. Overall, it was a brilliant day that is priceless for the sights and experiences; but do think about your time after the tour and make arrangements if you can.
