Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra awaits you at the Palace Orangery where Mozart himself performed in 1786. The concert is a fine selection of masterful music by Mozart and Strauss, rounded off by vocal performances. Since the establishment of the Schoenbrunn Palace Concerts, the daily performances of the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra play an essential role in Vienna's cultural and musical life. At the Orangery Schoenbrunn, a place rich in tradition, the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra and the Schoenbrunn Palace Ensemble perform the most beautiful tunes of the classic composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johann Strauss. On selected dates, the concerts take place in the Great Gallery in Schoenbrunn, in the White-Gold Room directly in the Palace other concert halls in Vienna.

The music is fun and lively, but not quite the performance we were hoping. The venue is a plain, modern room / hall with projected lights on the ceiling. It is not a grand space one might expect at the Schönbrunn.

The venue was not what we expected. Was not at the castle, rather at the Orange , which is close but no cigar. Seats were average. We had front row seats. Music was good but not exceptional. They were hoping for a standing ovation. It did not happen. Pretty average hall with very little decorations. Sound was average, as it was just a rectangular room. Wish this was in a Castle or Church. The venue was a disappointment. For the price paid, we felt it was way overpriced. Must be set up for cruise passengers.

Absolutely wonderful experience - the venue, the music, the whole performance!! My only complaint was that we were given incorrect venue details - it was at Schönbrunner but we were told Orangery - which entailed a big trek back for us. Having said that, however, it was so good to experience the palace. Highly recommend.

A very nice location, a good small orchestra and a fun concert. We would have liked a less "touristic" concert, with longer pieces and a more sophisticate material.

The conductor had the ensemble on point the entire night. He was enthusiastic and seemed to genuinely love what he was doing.

Great experience! Amazing musicians and gorgeous ballroom. Not to be missed in your trip to Vienna. BTW, voucher redeemable at main gate not Orangerie

The music was absolutely beautiful. Definitely a must see. The combination of singing and music was unexpected but we loved it!

The concert in the beautiful ballroom at the Schönbrunn Palace was a lively way to end the evening. The first half was Mozart and the second half was Strauss. The orchestra played quite well and the maestro was very entertaining. It would have been nice if they told the audience what they were going to play as many pieces may have been unfamiliar to the audience.

Beautiful experience. Great orchestra, singers and lighting. Really easy to get to (U4 stops right outside) and friendly and helpful staff. Great experience.

Beautiful Concert. It was unseasonably warm, if going in September wear light clothing and bring light jacket incase it’s cooler.
