Vienna's Royal Majesty: Schönbrunn Panoramic Palace Tour

For those short on time and don't want to walk this expansive park take this tour. Great way to enjoy the gardens.

Our two young children (and our knees) really appreciated this fun way to explore the grounds of Schönbrunn, from the doors of the palace to the top at Gloriette and back again. It’s an enjoyable hop-on, hop-off ride, with added commentary so you understand what you can see. With Gloriette being so high up, it also takes a lot of the strain out of getting there and admiring the view. It takes in stops for major attractions in the park, and shows you some parts you may never come across otherwise. The price is a little steep - though it is free for the Vienna Pass - but you could ride to a lot of places.

An absolute necessity for someone like me with limited mobility. I got to see parts of the gardens I never would have without this little train. Very interesting narrative too.

Ideal way to travel up to that Gloriette if you physically can’t manage the walk. Useful to hop on and off. Interesting commentary along the way. Tickets a bit expensive but a fun experience.

I have a bad knee and found this a great way to get around the palace grounds, without having to do the uphill-downhill walk.

Without the train we wouldn't have seen much of Schönbrunn, because it can't be done on foot in one day. That was really nice and a relaxed tour of Schönbrunn.

A smart and efficient way to get around Schloss Schönbrunn. The area is very large. 9 stops are available, and you can hop on and get off at each stop. In addition, oral information in different languages is available. Worked very well for us. We jumped off at Palmenhaus, Gloriette and at the Obelisk Fountain.

Man kann das ganze Areal in kurzer Zeit sehen, was mit Kindern ideal ist. Man erfährt auch vieles über die Geschichte.

The panoramic railway is a must if you want to visit the castle. Here you are shown all the greetings and what else you can visit.

Die Fahrt ist eigentlich recht schön, aber leider sieht man sehr viel Wald. Bei dem Preis, hätte man vielleicht eine Runde durch den Tierpark fahren können (natürlich ohne Haltepunkt dort)
