Bosphorus Bites: Unforgettable Two-Continent Food Adventure

Our Istanbul food tour with Kaan was such a treat! He was charming, knowledgeable, and full of great stories that made the city come alive. We wandered through local coffeehouses and family-run eateries, tasting incredible Turkish specialties — İskender kebap, menemen, lahmacun, baklava, and the creamiest goat milk ice cream … plus so much more. 🍽️ By the end, we were so full we had to skip dinner!

Unsan is truly a master of his craft. We started on time and spent the entire day learning about and experiencing Turkish food and culture. Unsan is one of the most knowledgeable guides I have ever encountered. Make sure you come hungry, there is a lot of food included. Fantastic tour.

I had a fabulous tour led by Selen. The food was absolutely amazing and her commentary was insightful, informative and entertaining. She made sure we had all the information we needed and answered all our questions. Overall this was a super day out, in a fabulous city, with a wonderful guide.

Sinan was an incredible tour guide that was able to not only take us to incredible places to eat but food we probably would not have tried in our own and would have missed out on wonderful food. He was also able to share information about the culture, history and life today in Istanbul. Throughly enjoyed the day. Much more food than we have ever had on previous food tours throughout the world. We were given full portions and didn’t/couldn’t eat dinner because we were still so full. Great experience and highly recommend.

We had a great time with Ali our guide. Besides the amazing food and drinks he filled us in on the culture and history. Add in the ferry ride and it was an amazing tour. We a great group and enjoyed all the different foods from breakfast and lunch to deserts and snacks in between. I feel you really get your money worth. Come hungry!

We had a great time on our food tour with Sinan! He told us a lot about Turkish history and culture, and the food was all amazing. Highly recommend going on this food tour early in your trip to Istanbul and Turkey to get a crash course on Turkish culture.

What a great experience! Selen was an absolutely amazing guide to spend nearly five hours with…knowledgeable, friendly, out-going and generous in spirit. Multiple food/drink tastings from a variety of representative Turkish offerings, with historical context. Spanning the European and Asian sides also provided exposure to both areas of Istanbul. I really enjoyed this small group food tour with Tunç as our guide. During each meal Tunç immersed us in Turkish food culture. All the places we went to eat were so good, there wasn’t any place I didn’t enjoy. This tour also gives an opportunity to visit the Asian side of Istanbul by taking a ferry. The European and Asian side of Istanbul each have a different vibe to them so I recommend you try this out. Walking through the streets, and visiting the food and spice markets in Istanbul is something I’ll cherish forever. Also, the experience in a small group was fun-it gave me an opportunity to have a great time meeting fellow travelers. This experience is truly unique, I hope you book it (especially with Tunç!) You won’t be disappointed!
