Vatican VIP: Skip-the-Line Sistine Chapel & St. Peter's Tour
A holiday in Rome without visiting the Vatican is like a day at the beach without swimming in the sea. See the best of the Vatican museums and gain direct entrance with skip-the-line access to the Sistine Chapel and St. Peter’s Basilica, while our excellent guides entertain you with stories that go with each masterpiece. This budget-friendly tour is the best value for money for travelers that are interested in 1) seeing the museum’s highlights 2) meeting a new friend or two through your group and 3) skipping the lines (trust us, with over 6 million tourist spilling into the museum every year, you'll want it!) Disclaimer: you will be entering the Vatican museum during one of the busiest times of the day. While the tour provides skip-the-line access, the crowds in the museum vary from day to day and some delay with security can be expected (it would be misleading for other tour operators to not tell you this!)

Excellent guide! Super knowledgeable and entertaining. Disappointed we couldn't get in the actual church due to the Jubilee, but otherwise an excellent tour!

A great experience from start to finish Very interesting and informative time with our guide Would absolutely recommend skip the line as we passed a huge queue of individuals waiting to gain access. It was extremely busy and a little rushed in parts, but we got plenty of time to appreciate the main features of the tour and as long as we needed inside the Basilica. Would highly recommend this tour

Excellent experience and I felt it was well worth the money. Daniela was our group leader/tour guide. Very knowledgeable and clearly appreciates the beauty and uniqueness of the area.

Tour was rushed guide mumbled the entire time - didn’t give any exciting information about key works just stormed us through at rapid pace when some of these rooms were beautiful he’d be in the next room in less then two minutes - I’d recommend paying a little extra for a private tour with a guide that’s actually interested in giving the tour.

Our leader was prompt & kept our group together the whole time! She was very informative in the Vatican museums and Sistine Chapel. She did not take us through St Peter’s Basilica - we were on our own for that tour. Sadly the tombs were closed until 3pm that day, see we did not get to tour there. There is still lines & waiting, but we were happy we did the tour.

St Peter's Cathedral was closed, only visited the Sixtine Chapel. No reimbursement was made. Only half a tour!!!

We did part one of the tour with Giovanni. He is a nice guy and St Peter's was pretty busy. They changed the set up of how to get around inside and maybe that made things difficult for him. He made sure we saw everything, but I very much wish he had told more stories... something beyond strict facts. "This is the tomb of Pope __", etc. We aren't Catholic and don't know much about the Popes, or their individual importance. I wish we could have heard more of his knowledge on St Peter's, how it was built, the history and symbolism of the building, church, and the Popes that served there. It was a little hard to understand him sometimes, but he has a pleasant voice and warm manner. Shak had a lot of energy and she definitely was more engaging. If her energy and storytelling had been employed through the whole tour, our rating would be higher.

Very well organized and our guide, Maria, was knowledgeable and funny too. There really is a lot of walking so please be prepared. We had a few in our group that could not keep up.

Shak was amazing! She was super knowledgeable and went with the flow, even when the routes around the Vatican changed. Would def recommend:)
- Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
- Public transportation options are available nearby
- Suitable for all physical fitness levels
- Unforeseen events= The Vatican is its own country and therefore the Pope can decide also last minute to close St. Peter’s Basilica for ad hoc events. It is a very rare event during the year but it is possibile and we will do our best to inform you. If it is too late to inform you, our guide will extend the tour in the Vatican. Not to worry that the incredibile collection of Vatican Museums and the masterpiece of Michelagelo in the Sistine Chapel will still be included.
- Most of our tours include the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. However, there are two specific options with different inclusions. You will find below:
- Museums & SISTINE CHAPEL Tour – Includes the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel but does NOT include St. Peter’s Basilica.
- ST.PETER'S BASILICA TOUR – Includes St. Peter’s Basilica but does NOT include the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel.
