Our tour through the Colosseum was outstanding! The guide was extremely knowledgeable and brought the ancient history to life with fascinating stories and insights. We learned so much about the architecture, the gladiators, and the daily life of Rome. The tour was well-organized and made it easy to appreciate the significance of this incredible landmark. I highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to get the most out of their visit to the Colosseum!

We booked this tour with City Wonders through Viator and unfortunately it was not a smooth experience. The instructions to find our tour guide were unclear, and it was extremely difficult to locate her among the hundreds of people and multiple tour companies in the area. We spent about fifteen minutes scrambling to find the right meeting point and were worried we would miss the tour. When we finally arrived right on time, the guide was visibly unhappy that it took us so long to meet her. We also asked to quickly use the restroom before a three hour Colosseum tour, which she did not appreciate. Throughout the tour she was not friendly or engaging and often walked far ahead without waiting for the group to catch up. To make matters worse, my mom’s audio device stopped working halfway through because the radio channels accidentally switched. When we approached the guide for help, she was quite curt about it. Overall, this made what should have been an incredible experience at the Colosseum much less enjoyable. I would not recommend booking a tour with this guide again.

This experience was well worth it. It was so informational and interesting. Sam was our tour guide, and he was very thorough in his explanations of the history behind each beautiful monument and landmark we saw. Overall a great experience.

We had a blast on our tour with Fabio. The tour was interesting and well-paced and our guide was very passionate and knowledgeable. We particularly enjoyed the arena part of the tour - it felt truly humbling to stand there! Would highly recommend the tour.

The lady that did the guide on the tour was so nice and was very knowledgeable and passionate . She took good care of us and made sure we were all staying together and explained things well .

Louise made this the best experience! She was hilarious and so passionate every step of the tour. Her knowledge and detail to everything was incredible. Highly recommend this tour and getting arena floor access!!

This tour is the best way to experience ancient Rome! You get to walk through the Colosseum and actually learn how it really was, not what you may have seen in the movies. You also get to walk where the ancient Romans walked, where see where the Apostle Peter spoke in the Forum, walk where the Caesars walked, and get the most impressive views of Rome anywhere. There is also a gift shop in the Colosseum with some nice books and trinkets to purchase. Tip: Grab a drink and a small snack at one of the bars nearby before the journey so you can use the toilet first as there is only one in the Colosseum and the line will be very long. Also, there are many stairs so if you visit in the summer make sure to bring plenty of water. Note also that the actual tour guide you will have will likely have a different company name than Viator so make sure you look at your booking information closely. There are dozens of tours all goings on at the same time, so make sure you get to your meeting time early and look for your specific tour company.

It was a great experience and George our guide was fantastic, had a lot of information to share which made the tour fun.
