Epic Peru Coast & Oasis: Ballestas & Huacachina Adventure

Overall, we had a great day! In Paracas we saw sea lions, birds, penguins, and even dolphins. Afterwards, we went to Huacachina where we rented skis, went sandboarding, and had an exciting buggy ride through the desert. Watching the sunset over the dunes was a perfect way to end the day. However, during the trip there were several additional costs – some expected, others less so. These included local taxes, lunch, the Huacachina excursion, and optionally dinner (since the tour ends around 11 PM). Also, many people along the way expect tips – from the guide to the buggy drivers. Another downside was that some participants had prepaid for the tour, but their package only included one hour of buggy riding, while the full tour lasted two hours. Those who didn’t pay extra had to wait and missed out on part of the experience. All in all, it was a fun and memorable day, but travelers should be aware of the extra charges and clarify in advance what’s included in the price.

Super amazing experience! The tour guide Fiorella is fantastic - funny, knowledgable and super- energetic! Very well organized day - the entire day tour is very smooth and exciting. On another topic - dunes are starting to be a bit polluted though...with plastics. Drivers should be trained to pick up the bottles when they drive by.

We had a splendid day with our guide Fio. Timekeeping and organisation were on point from start to finish. While all stops were fantastic, the buggies & sandboarding were the undisputed highlights. Sooo much fun and a beautiful sunset to round things off.

The Paracas and Huacachina full-day tour was absolutely incredible! This tour packed so much adventure into one day — totally worth it. A must-do experience in Peru!

We had a fun day. Everything went very smoothly. Sand boarding was a blast. Everyone involved was very polite and professional.

Great tour and highly recommended. The company delivered everything they promised, specifically our tour guide Jasselyn she was so wonderful and took care of everyone. The tour was so enjoyable although it was a long way to drive. If you will visit and stay at Lima for a few days, definitely it is worth to visit these two place in a one day trip. Lunch food was great it was a great opportunity to taste Peru food. We were so lucky to see may dolphins today, a wonderful memory experience.

It was an amazing experience! The tour was perfect in every aspect! We enjoyed it a lot! I would recommend the tour to anyone who doesn’t want to spend the night in Huacachina! The group has a great size as it is not to big or to small!

We had a great time! You will definitely want to upgrade to the 2 hour tour. It was totally worth it. Jossy was amazing and punctual. She was very clear about what we would do and see. She is super friendly, helpful, and funny too. On the paracas tour, our guide Mickey was very fun and had super high energy! Our driver Moshe is a trooper for being with us all day and getting us everywhere on time.
