Our city tour through Nairobi Downtown with Tsunami was one of the most impressive and meaningful experiences of our entire trip – absolutely outstanding and a true highlight! The tour started in Uptown Nairobi and led us into Downtown, revealing a fascinating contrast between the modern and the raw, authentic sides of the city. But what made this experience truly unforgettable was Tsunami himself. He shared his life story with incredible honesty – growing up on the streets, struggling with drugs and crime – and how he managed to turn his life around. Today, he dedicates his time and energy to helping street kids in Nairobi, giving them hope and a chance for a better future. His story was heartbreaking, powerful, and inspiring all at once. You can feel that this tour is not staged or commercial – it’s real, raw, and deeply human. Tsunami knows every corner, every story, and every struggle of these streets, and he shares them with empathy, humor, and authenticity. Beyond the emotional side, the tour was also fascinating and lively: we saw the colorful Matatus (local buses), walked through the Red-Light District, had a beer in a local pub, and enjoyed authentic Kenyan food in a local restaurant – a true insider’s glimpse into Nairobi’s everyday life. I have rarely met someone as inspiring as Tsunami – a man who has experienced the darkest sides of life yet radiates so much positivity and compassion today. If you truly want to understand Nairobi, this tour is an absolute must. Conclusion: A moving, honest, and deeply enriching experience – so much more than just a city tour. Huge thanks to Tsunami for his openness, courage, and incredible energy!

We went on a city tour with Morgan and Priest, and it was absolutely fantastic! They were incredibly knowledgeable, insightful, and friendly, sharing not only facts but also personal stories that gave real depth to the experience. It felt like we were seeing a side of Nairobi that most visitors never get to see—the genuine, everyday life of the city beyond the usual tourist spots. Morgan and Priest made us feel safe and well cared for the entire time, and their warmth and humor made the day even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour — it’s a unique and meaningful way to experience the real Nairobi

Allows you to see a side of Nairobi you wouldn’t be able to otherwise, with friendly guides who really know the streets. It was a great experience, an exposure to a harsh reality, and I feel I understand this place a little bit more. Definitely one of the more special activities for foreigners in Nairobi.

Wonderful, insightful tour into the trials faced by young people living on Nairobi's Street. My guide Tsunami was informative and I felt very comfortable with him throughout the chaotic streets. A shared meal at the end was a highlight, he even waited for me to get into an Uber and took note of the number plate before I departed.

This was such an unforgettable walking tour through Nairobi. Morgan shared his moving life story with honesty and humor, giving us a real glimpse into what it was like growing up on the streets. He took us through parts of the city we would never have explored on our own, always making sure we felt safe. It was both inspiring and educational! Highly recommend!

The most incredible way to spend an afternoon in Nairobi. We saw parts of the city that tourists wouldn’t usually tour and it was fun, informative and eye opening. Typhoon, Lasty and Priest did such a wonderful job of teaching us about how they grew up and showing us how some people in the city live. Highly recommended if you are looking for a city tour, this is one not to be missed.

If you only do one walking tour in Nairobi, make it this one. Morgan and his colleagues Tsunami, Cheddar Cheese and friends, gave us an honest insight into the challenges of life as a street kid in Nairobi. We went into parts of Nairobi that are often avoided by visitors and all times, they ensured we were safe. You have to admire their determination to turn their lives around and their optimism and focus on the future. An amazing group of guys.
