Pérou Mystique: 7 Jours d'Exploration du Nord depuis Trujillo

I can sum it up in one word: SUPERB!! Norte Expedition are a family run business. We had Dilser, who runs the company with his wife, occasionally recruiting hand-picked guides for larger groups. We organised everything directly from the UK via WhatsApp with excellent communication. He might take a few hours to reply at times if he’s on tour but he always replies. The couple are impressively conscientious, always on time, communicating well, mindful of our needs. He’s a safe driver too which is a great bonus on Peruvian roads. Above all Dilser’s knowledge of the history and archeology of the area, even of local flora and fauna was impressive and engaging and we learnt so much. It was my hubby’s birthday on tour and he’d organised a surprise cake with candles, balloon and music blasting the streets from the car. What a sweetie! Northern Peru is a gem and I highly recommend a visit here. It’s home to the pre-Inca civilisations dating back to 100AD with the Moche to the Chimu just before they were invaded by the Incas. The region is rich with fascinating and vast archeological sites equally as impressive as Machu Picchu with world class museums supporting it. Yet we often found ourselves the only ones there with entire vast sites to ourselves. At the time of writing Norte Expedition are the ONLY tour company offering such an immersive and comprehensive tour of the region over several days. Most merely do day trips and with larger distances to cover you spend most of your time travelling. If I were in Peru again I wouldn’t hesitate using Norte Expedition for their other tours

Our tour guide was absolutely amazing. He was always punctual, warm, friendly and cheerful. His presentation and knowledge was incredible. Always helpful and fun, he helped to make our tour of Northern Peru so memorable and enjoyable!

Our northern Peru trip with Dilser was simply phenomenal. Dilser is an incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and organized guide. He arranged for a very diverse experience to give us a sense of the distinct cultural and historical aspects of various parts of northern Peru. The time we spent exploring the active archeological sites of northern Peru, including Chan Chan, Huaca de la Luna, Huaca del Sol, el Brujo, etc were enriched immensely by Dilser's knowledge from his own background in history and archeology, as well his evident love for Peruvian history. Northern Peru is a very under focused part of Peru- but it is a must-see for those who want to get a more holistic understanding of the country's rich history. The pre-Incan histories are simply fascinating. Dilser also organized a tour of Huascaran national reserve. We completed a very challenging hike to Lagoon 69, and Dilser was a patient and committed guide through every step of that incredibly rewarding experience. Huascaran is an astonishingly beautiful part of Peru and can only be done justice by visiting. If you're thinking of going to Peru, go to northern Peru. And if you've decided on going to northern Peru, take Dilser with you. He is not only worth every cent but is also just a wonderful person through the experience.

Dilzer fue siempre super Profesional, Puntual, super amable y empatico, habla un ingles perfecto, Tiene un conocimiento de la historia peruana y te lo transmite de una manera q no te cansas de escucharlo, al contrario te interesas mas y quieres saber mas. Dilzer siempre tuvo una respuesta a todas nuestras preguntas. El es ademas un super conductor y la movilidad fue super comoda. Estuvimos en Trujillo y en Chiclayo. Visitamos las ruinas y Templos mas destacadas así como las Playas de Huanchaco y Pimentel, esta última super recomendada para darse un baño y comer super bien. Dilser siempre se ocupo de todas las formalidades y servicio, nosotros sólo teníamos q seguirlo. El servicio privado es algo más caro, pero valió cada centavo. Es un servicio mucho más confortable. Dilser da Norte Expeditions sempre foi pontual, gentil e extremamente educado. Fizemos um tour de vários dias sobre as culturas moche, chimu e lambayeque. O guia era muito atencioso e muito profissional, com profundo conhecimento de história, arqueologia e cultura local.
