Un monastère sublime, certainement pour nous le plus beau monastère que nous ayons visité pour l’instant en Crète. Véritablement un petit bijou à découvrir. Il faut y aller sans hésiter.

Il s'agissait de visites autoguidées mais le guide a donné au préalable de bonnes informations et était professionnel. Le coch fourni par l'agent de voyage Platano tours était très propre et le chauffeur très prudent autour des routes étroites. Les grottes sont bien aménagées et éclairées. Le monastère vaut bien le détour et intéressant avec des panneaux d'information en Anglais. Une preuve d'âge est exigée sur les entrées si vous obtenez des tarifs de concession. Le village des Margarites est une fabrique de poterie gérée par la population locale qui tenait beaucoup à montrer comment la poterie était fabriquée

Very organized visit. At the entrance you receive a detailed map with a clear path to follow in order not to miss any corner of the site. Spaces are well cleaned and cared. Duration of the visit is less than an hour.

Freedom to roam around with lots of interesting stories/history. Cheap entry fee and cafe on site. Good for all ages

mooi klooster waar ook nog een paar monniken wonen mooie oude gebouwen en kerk goed bereikbaar met grote parkeerplaats

Monastero posto nel mezzo della campagna nel centro di Creta. Pace, tranquillità e serenità contraddistingue questo monastero maschile cretese. Bellissimo, magnifico , è assolutamente da vedere soprattutto la chiesa. Il tutto è ben conservato e ristrutturato. Fantastico!

Super tolles Kloster. Sehr lehrreich. Tolle Umgebung mit eim netten Cafe. Man lernt viel über die Geschichte. Auf dem Weg dorthin kann man schön die Landschaft geniessen

1500-luvun alkupuolella perustettu luostari. Synkkä historia 1699 Ottomaanien piirittäessä kylää ja luostaria, tekivät asukkaat joukko itsemurhan mieluimmin, kuin jääden vangeiksi. Tästä jäänteenä pääkallot hautaholvissa. Paikassa ravintola ja matkamuisto myymälä.

Man bezahlt drei Euro Eintritt pro Person. Dafür bekommt man einen Flyer mit Informationen und Eintritt zum Gelände, Museum und Kunstgalerie. Da kann man nicht meckern. Alles ist sehr gut beschrieben und bei uns (Ende Mai) war es auch nicht überlaufen. Vor Ort sind Parkplätze und Toiletten kostenlos. Ein Café für Verpflegung ist direkt nebenan.
