Visite guidee privée très complète avec une guide très sympathique et pédagogue. En 3h très belle initiation a la culture etrusque dans un cadre enchanteur.

Definitely worth visiting the site and museum. We booked a private two hour tour about the site and museum and the tour guide that we had was excellent. She was very knowledgeable of everything and spoke good English. I would definitely recommend seeing both places and doing it with a personalized tour guide. Well worth the extra money.

We spent an amazing 3 hours with our guide Serena Paolini. Her knowledge was detailed and extensive. We saw a fabulous range of tombs in the Necropolis - as well as a tour of the museum in Tarquinia set in the grounds of a palace. It was beautifully presented! We would thoroughly recommend this tour as well as spending time in the medieval town of Tarquinia itself. Excellent value for money and a lovely personalised experience

Serena was our guide and she was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. The Etruscan tombs are incredible but be prepared to navigate short lengths of steep Steps up and down to see them.

Tarquinius and the Etruscan relics are phenomenal and a must see if you love history. Unfortunately my experience with the trip advisor recommended guide was rerrible. Because of traffic problems we could not make the scheduled time. When I spoke to the guide and asked to either delay our time or reschedule, she refused. She said she was busy the rest of that day and the next day that we were in TRquinea. We hired another guide th hotel suggested and she was wonderful and we loved the experience but not the trip advisor guide.

Serena provided a very informative tour in English of the various tombs at the Etruscan Necropolis. The Etruscans were a fascinating and talented people who left behind incredible art. Serena has studied archaeology and offered great insight to the history and symbolism in the beautiful frescos. She was very punctual and professional, and I really enjoyed this experience. When visiting a site in such confined quarters like these tombs, having a personal guide versus group tour is optimal. (Tarquinia was a pleasant town for an overnight visit and I had a great dinner on the piazza.)

La nostra guida Serena Paolini è stata bravissima. Preparatissima, ci ha guidato alla scoperta dei segreti della necropoli di Tarquinia con leggerezza ed estrema competenza. Il tempo è volato immersi nel passato che si animava al nostro passaggio grazie ai racconti della nostra guida. A Palazzo Vitelleschi la magia si è ripetuta e Serena è stata ancora più coinvolgente.

Sito archeologico curato e davvero straordinario per l'unicità dei reperti. Museo in location d'epoca e con vista dall'ultimo piano mozzafiato. Sapevamo che a luglio avrebbe fatto molto caldo ed effettivamente il sito è tutto sotto il sole. Manca il bookshop, mi sono chiesta come sia possibile!

Splendida la necropoli e molto bello ed interessante il museo. Ottimo punto di partenza per visitare anche Cerveteri e Tuscania.

Come è noto l’Etruria ha avuto 2 grandi centri (Cerveteri e Tarquinia) in cui ci sono anche 2 necropoli di grandissimo valore ma, mentre Cerveteri ospita nel suo piccolo museo l’eccezionale Vaso di Eufronio, a Tarquinia il museo è più grande, molto curato, e posizionato al centro della città in straordinaria ubicazione (Piazza Cavour) in cui molte sale eleganti e ospitali, si affacciano sul vicino Tirreno, che gli etruschi navigavano con navi che attraversavano fino alla Francia, già ai tempi dei Fenici. Splendido, oggi anche con la visione di una bella stella cometa natalizia all’ingresso della piazza. Meritevole di sosta e visita OOOOO n° 6 foto
