The Historic Village, Herberton has the best display of artefacts, small and large. From each precious tea cup to the earliest John Deere tractor to the elegantly decorated homestead. The delicious outback cooking of damper with syrup, billy tea, beefy stew + more made by Bushy & his partner Shannon was outstanding. Ensure you have at least 5hrs to enjoy this historical gem. Loved it!!

We came to this not expecting too much but this place would have to be one of the best historic villages we have been to. Well set out with heaps of information, options of audio tour on your phone as well. Great food cooked in the open fire, damper was delicious! Really enjoyed our visit and the whole place is spotlessly clean! Very dog friendly, they’re allowed in all the buildings. Would highly recommend and you can get your ticket signed off to go back within 3 days.

Excellent customer service, a beautiful place to spend the day and dog friendly 'wow' So many favourites but we all agreed that one of the best parts is the metal artwork, awesome 👌

Arrived on a quiet Monday which was great. Lots to look at, it is a really interesting 'living museum' and I would recommend you spend at least 3 or 4 hours. Most of it under some cover so great for hot/rainy days! It was dog friendly. Staff at the reception and cafe were really helpful and friendly. When you purchase a ticket, you can get a free return visit within 3 days making it great value.

We visited today slightly apprehensive of whether our 6, 9 and 10yo would enjoy the trip - I’m pleased to add it was a winner with everyone. The ability to walk freely around the majority of the village, the toy shop, school, dentists through to the camera shop and newspaper printers and really look closely at such a huge range of artefacts and items was what allowed them to really engage and imagine this period in time that’s been so meticulously and carefully preserved. The theatre experience was great, and the live forging demonstration with Darryl the Smithy was their absolute favourite and the highlight for all of us. Many thanks Darryl 🙌

This is a gem of a place to visit. It is most definitely a day tour even though your ticket gives you a 3 day pass to come back and finish tour. I highly recommend a visit in history.

Enjoyed our day out at this village where the staff were wonderful and very knowledgeable. Enjoyed looking at all the displays and walked our feet off. Highly recommended to visit this amazing village and step back in time for an afternoon.

We only pulled into the Village because we were at a loose-end in the Tablelands, but we are so glad we did. Stunningly beautiful and immaculately preserved heritage buildings, well kept and naturally gorgeous landscapes and environments, and some delicious camp-cooked damper and billy tea to boot! Will be recommending to all our friends :) (When can we move into Elderslie House?)
