Ultimate Nova Scotia: Coast, Culture & Valley Views

I have done this day trip on my last full day of a Trans-Canada trip and couldn't have wishes for a better conclusion. Evan was a super guide (and driver), providing us with a lot of interesting information and tips about what to look at/try out during the day. I greatly enjoyed the scenery at Peggy's Cove, the charming atmosphere of Lunenburg and nature in the Annapolis Valley. We have also made several small stops at interesting sites along our way. Everything was as advertised online and the size of our group was super compact. I recommend this trip (and company) wholeheartedly.

What an amazing tour it was! Hannah was the greatest tour guide one can have-such a nice person! She made the long ride really entertaining by being very chatty and interested in everyone’s story. We stopped at many beautiful places and being such a small group made it very intimate and fun. Thanks for this great adventure! Would do it again anytime!

Full day touring quite a large part of Nova Scotia. Scenic drive between the different stops. Great opportunity to witness the change in colours of the trees in the autumn. The day was well balanced between driving time and visiting times. Our guide Evan was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the region, the fauna and flora, the local food and restaurant scene and many more subjects that filled our conversations during the day. He paced the tour really well, stopping at places that were planned in the tour description, but also stopping at lovely cafés and shops on the way for a taste of local products. He gave us options for places to visit depending on individual participants' tastes during the tour and kindly shared great ideas to continue exploring Halifax after the tour. Altogether a very pleasant day and a safe drive to lovely spots in this part of Nova Scotia! Thank you Evan for being such a highly motivated and enlightening guide!

Great tour. So many awesome stops and doing this during the turn of the leaves was a particular highlight as every drive became a stunning sight. Lots to do and an extremely informative guide (thanks so much Evan!). Loved it. Lunenberg, Peggy's cove and the valley near wolfville are all worth seeking out!

Our tour with Alternatives Routes was great! Our tour leader, Hannah, facilitated a comfortable atmosphere. She made sure everyone in our small group was heard. She did not overwhelm with commentary, which allowed time to enjoy the views I highly recommend this tour!

Overall, the tour was very good. There was a little too much driving without at least a quick stop. The tour guide was very nice but lacked experience with interesting historical facts.

The tour is a full day experience and you hit several worthwhile attractions such as Peggy’s Cove and Lunenberg. Our guide Hannah was awesome with tidbits of info and lore. I highly recommend this activity.

The tour was well thought out and Evan was an expert guide and mindful driver! A great tour to get a taste of Nova Scotia. I learned so much! Also, the tour was perfect for solo travelers! Just the right balance of group bonding and personal exploration of the tour spots.

The tour with Evan was fantastic! He is so knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about Nova Scotia, from its histories and communities to the wildlife and natural environment. His storytelling made the whole day unforgettable, and I learned so much more than I expected. Another highlight was the food recommendations: every spot in Halifax he suggested was tasty and affordable (definitely better than the overpriced Insta-famous restaurants). This tour was a little more expensive than some others, but it was by far the best experience I’ve had on my trip, and absolutely worth it. Highly recommend Evan if you want a tour that’s insightful, fun, and full of heart.
