Mumbai is famous across India for its outstanding street food, but discovering the best hygienic eateries in a big city is not easy. To start your food trail, visit Mumbai’s most famous beach, Chowpatty, where you'll try an array of Mumbai’s best vegetarian street food while watching the sunset. Taste classics such as Pani Puri, Dahi Puri, & Pav Bhaji. Next, take a taxi to Bhuleshwar a Gujarati & Rajasthani area with local specialties such as Kesari ukala (saffron milk), kachori/sabudana wada, pudla & masala dosa. Walk through its busy streets known as khao gallis-(eating lanes). Finally, walk into the Mohommad Ali Road area. In this predominantly Muslim neighborhood, get immersed in local culture and the food. Here in the khao gallis you will find mainly non-vegetarian options such as Chicken kebabs, Chicken rolls, and Baida rotis. And don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten those of you with a sweet tooth (and with space in your stomach)! We’ll eat Rabdi with Gulab Jamun, Jalebi and Kulfi.

Fantastic tour with Janna. We had only just arrived in Mumbai from the UK this morning and would not have had the confidence to visit any of these places by night or try the food without his guidance, but it was certainly an experience not to be missed! Also great to know that Reality tours is a social enterprise, and we are looking forward to seeing their work on their Dharavi tour.

Javed created a fabulous night of street food and culture for us. Even with a large festival in the city, he navigated everything perfectly and we had a very enjoyable night. Highly recommend !

A fantastic experience with Janna, he was super easy to get on with and was watching out for me as we navigated multiple suburbs. I really appreciate his honesty about life in Mumbai, and his own experiences living here. I day I won’t forget! Janna was really helpful giving me advice for how to spend the rest of my time here. Thankyou!!and the food. Oh my god, the food!

Wow. Seeing Mumbai as it is. The people. The food. The traffic. The transportation. A well rounded tour beyond just food.

I ended up with two friends who did my tour. Despite the fact that I am vegan, which is very hard to arrange here, they worked and adjusted meals and fed me a half dozen excellent foods. We also had inspiring unrelated conversations about Indian life that made for an excellent evening. Recommended for everyone!

Raj was a great tour guide and was very knowledgeable . We visited a wide variety of restaurants and street food vendors throughout the tour. I would highly recommend this tour.

An amazingly authentic experience through the less touristy streets of Mumbai. We tried so many different types of foods from a variety of cultures and areas. Raj was a really informative host and had lots of local knowledge which he shared with us along the way.
