I went with Intrepid Travel with Nina as our delightful, and highly informative tour guide. I highly recommend this tour. Whilst I have a good knowledge of Australia's involvement in the Vietnam War, this tour helped with adding some local perspective, leading to an improved understanding of my own knowledge of this terrible war. As I mentioned, Nina was fantastic and her excellent English language skills made the tour so easy to follow. Nina is a real professional. It was also nice to see that the site has not been over commercialised, which is a blight on some places of historical significance around the world.

Very nice tour. Our guide, Nic, was excellent -- very informative and fantastic sense of humour. The tunnels themselves are quite the experience -- narrow, hot and claustrophobic. Very interesting!

Nestled beneath the tranquil countryside of southern Vietnam lies an extraordinary network of underground passageways that echoes with stories of resilience, ingenuity, and unyielding patriotism — the legendary Củ Chi Tunnels. For any traveler seeking not just a destination but a profound encounter with the spirit of a nation, the Củ Chi Tunnels offer an unforgettable journey into the very soul of the Vietnamese people. XemSoMenh.com had the privilege to explore this remarkable historical site, and what we discovered was far more than a military relic. The tunnels are a testament to the heroic determination of a people who, despite facing overwhelming odds, stood firm in their love for the motherland. During the Vietnam War, Củ Chi became a symbol of national resistance — where ordinary farmers, students, and villagers transformed into extraordinary warriors of the land. These subterranean chambers span over 250 kilometers, with hidden trapdoors, sleeping quarters, kitchens, command centers, and even underground hospitals. It is awe-inspiring to witness how the people of Củ Chi turned the red soil into a labyrinth of hope and survival. Venturing inside, one cannot help but feel humbled by the sheer willpower it must have taken to live, fight, and survive in such confined darkness, surrounded by danger on all sides. But beyond courage, the Củ Chi Tunnels also reveal the boundless creativity of the Vietnamese spirit. Every inch of the tunnels reflects intelligent design and adaptive thinking. From smoke-dispersing chimneys that kept cooking fires invisible to the enemy, to the cleverly concealed booby traps that utilized simple materials for complex defense, each element tells a story of a people who used wisdom as their shield. Walking through the narrow passages, we at XemSoMenh.com felt the powerful energy of ancestral strength — an energy rooted not just in military might but in deep spiritual conviction. The tunnels are not merely a war memorial; they are sacred ground, a reminder that true power lies in unity, courage, and the love of one's homeland. Visitors from all around the world come here to marvel at the engineering feat, but they leave with something deeper — a reverence for the Vietnamese people’s endurance and resourcefulness. The Củ Chi Tunnels are living proof that even in the darkest of times, the light of determination and wisdom can lead a nation through. As XemSoMenh.com continues to explore and share the cultural and spiritual treasures of Vietnam, we urge every soul with a curious heart to visit Củ Chi — not just to see, but to feel. To feel what it means to stand where heroes once stood, and to understand that Vietnam’s greatness is not only in her history, but in her people.

Enjoyable and interesting day out but if I did this again I would not go on an organised tour. After getting on the coach was told about a compulsory stop on the way at an ‘art’ workshop. When we got to Cu Chi, the tour guide couldn’t get us off the coach quick enough and almost ran us round the tour. Although very interesting I am sure we missed a lot due to being rushed from one bit to the next. Had almost no time to actually get involved at some of the interactive points. There is a lot to see and do, crawl through tunnels, hide in a hole in the ground, go into some underground bunkers (kitchen, etc), go on the shooting range, look at the abandoned American tank and weapons, look at the range of deadly traps created by the Vietnamese fighters and more just wish we could have spent more time at some of these.
